Remember when people freaked out wanting Andre Dillard

Eagles already have him on.the trading block

Tackle is the scariest position to take imo. Back in the days, it was the safest. Now, not so much due to how football is being played in college. College programs don’t produce elite 10+ yr tackles anymore.

If the Chargers pass on Tua he will drop...if he gets past the Jags could drop in NE range.  :Eyes_Emoji_42x42:

We better not be ignorant enough to pass on Tua. 31 other coaches other than Matt Rhule (7 yr contract) will be fired in 2 years if they pass on Tua.

Just draft him if available at 7, period.  Don’t need to feel the pressure and find a trade partner while on the clock.  He has a huge market, scoop him up and figure it out later.

Draft him and then wait for the phones to ring off the hook..and let them continue to ring into the start of the pre-season, as we work him out and hold all the cards regarding his medical condition.

Don’t pass on Tua if he is there.  That’s the only pick that makes us remotely relevant on the national scene.  If there is a team that needs to take a risky swing for the fences right now, it’s the Carolina Panthers. I’ll be beyond elated if Tua is a Panther tomorrow.

I hate the idea of drafting a player as trade bait. If it doesn't work out then you're stuck with a player you don't want, and you missed the player you did want. It's a bad move.

You're talking about a guy that failed a physical already.

In college he broke his wrist, dislocated a hip, sprained a knee, had 2 high ankle sprains, and broke a finger.

Some of that is highly concerning for a guy you're drafting to play in the NFL.

He's not even fully cleared to practice.

Did we not just get rid of Cam Newton for the same reasons?

Drafting Tua is a MASSIVE risk.

Cool, he may be amazing. He also may end up being Cam Newton where he is great, and spends a lot of time just not playing the game because he can't stay healthy. It doesn't matter how great he is if he can't stay on the field.

It's worse than that. Tua will be a huge NFL bust because he will never stay healthy. He is Sam Bradford in that he tantalized with his talent but will never be on the field. We will become the next Cincinnati Bengals with this kind of rampant stupidity

Cam was an absolute iron man for awhile. Tua has already piled up more injuries than Cam has in his entire life and he's yet to play a single down of NFL football.

That's definitely a better way to put it. It honestly felt to me that in the last 4 years of his time here we went out of our way to not only fail to let him get fully healthy, but butchered getting him any sort of protection to speak of.

Ah, I remember back when Miami had a choice between Dante Culpepper and Drew Brees. The deal for Brees was almost done, then Nick Saban stepped in and forced Culpepper because of the Brees injury. Saban has admitted and stated the obvious, he screwed up big time.

Anyone dismissing Tua's medicals is a moron.  Anyone dismissing the potential upside is also a moron.  Tua is a gamble.  One team might live to regret taking him, and there could be many teams that live to regret passing on him.  It all depends on your risk tolerance.
