Per Scott Fowler in The Observer, Richardson didn't know and wasn't warned that this was happening (link)

Sources said that Richardson wasn’t aware the statue was being taken down Wednesday before the work began. Richardson declined to answer questions directly about the statue through his spokesman, Jim Gray.

Gray did release the following statement on Richardson’s behalf: “Mr. Richardson has made no public comments about the Panthers or the NFL since the sale of the team and doesn’t plan to do so now as a private citizen. He has worked to treat all people fairly in his business and personal lives and, like many other Americans, is troubled by recent events in Minneapolis, Charlotte, and around the country.”

Not to derail the thread here but one thing that would go A LONG way in rebuilding and helping our country is to do away with non disclosure agreements. It’s almost a get out of jail free card for the wealthy. We need to hold people accountable especially people who are supposed to be leaders in our community.

I think if the statue were small and not so gaudy, they probably would have left it.  But that statue takes up so much space.  

1.Ugly and gaudy

2. Takes up too much space in the front of the stadium

3. JR bad guy.

      Just like WR, you thin ignite and then suffer an injury and you are scrambling.  Any RB could have run through some of those those holes though and maybe you don’t get the same xtra yards but you are getting yardage.  It is the pass catching they will miss the most.

      Without Sanders, they are stil catching balls. Sanders is about a giveaway to it will be a pass play.   Also, hoping we see the competition at RB keep both guys on their toes.

      I was talking about pre season hype vs now.  They were talking about him being the best route runner on the team and being unguardable.  Putting people in the blender.  He has had 1 catch the last two games, and before that it was 2 per game. I like Renfrow, but it seems him and Bryce are not on the same page.
