Kyle Love not sure if Cam can handle Bellichick

NAS

Quite a damning criticism of Cam as well as the Panthers coaching staff.  Check this out:

“This is just my opinion, but I don’t feel like Cam can take the pressure of coaches talking down about his play. If he had a bad game in Carolina, the coaching staff wouldn’t say much to him because they may have felt he could be a little frail about it or maybe pout,” Love said. “They never really corrected to the point Bill used to correct Tom.”

With football activities back in swing, let's try to transition back to this being an actual Panthers forum and take the general NFL stuff to the right subforum.

Fair enough. I thought this was Panthers related because it’s an indictment on how this franchise (mis)handled Cam.

From the moment he was drafted the entire franchise tip toed around Cam. They had no idea how to handle a legitimate superstar. I suspect many lessons were learned.

Duh, lol. We only have to go so far as a few Steve Smith fisticuffs to confirm that take.

Yet leave the thread about the 49ers signing Jordan Reed?  Do you just mean any discussion of Cam on the main forums is off-limits?

    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
    • That’s a grade I kind of expected tbh. I’m not a huge fan of NS, but he’s not as bad as what the huddle says he is minus the horrible game he had vs the Rams. I’ve always thought he’s often used as a scapegoat. The improved pass rush should hide his deficiencies a little bit better if he’s the game one starter. FS might have to be a position we punt on this year unless Thieneman falls to us at 19. The reality is, you're going to have a few average players in certain spots for a team with as many holes we had before free agency started. You can’t sign everyone.
    • I am by no means trying to say he's a world beater. I'm saying it's trending in the right direction. Especially when measured against himself.i think the team feel the same way or else they wouldn't have picked up his option. Plus I think there is a new idea in the NFL about these young QBs. Teams give up to soon. Browns gave up to soon on baker same with the jets on Geno and darnold. Maybe they are who you thought they were in the draft process and they need more time to develop than you originally planned. Either way. I do think he is as capable as darnold is as far as you can win a championship with him. And something he does have that darnold doesn't is he is clutch.  If I need one more drive and 2 mins to go I'm betting on Bryce and I am far from a homer, just going off his game winning drives. He has that dog in him on the last drive.
