The ball went 30 yards in the air to a wide-open Anderson, who juked and ran it half the field. Good throw, absolutely. Deep throw? In the shallowest sense of the word

we went through this exact same poo with kyle allen last year. i was here from the beginning drawing attention to his inability to throw the ball deep. heard the exact same excuses and exaggerations then. some people are letting things outside of the product on the field cloud their judgment.

seriously people?  You're criticizing a 75 yard TD pass because it doesn't meet your degree of difficulty threshold?  You people are pathetic...

absolutely not. it was a fine play. a wide open receiver caught a ball ~25 yards beyond the LOS and ran ~50 yards to the end zone. no need to pretend it was something more than that.

no, teddy had a nice game, but none of it dispelled the data-based criticisms that he doesn't have a great deep ball

As soon as Anderson gets by the CB, Teddy let's it go right to where Anderson needs to catch it as Abrams comes in (at a bad angle no less).

Was a 25yd ball that was on the money.

Deep ball stats are typically looked at as 21+ air yards (ex: https://www.nfl.com/news/dak-prescott-russell-wilson-headline-nfl-s-top-10-deep-passers)

This was an accurate deep pass where the QB saw the WR burn his man in cover 1 and let it go to where only Anderson could get it with Abrams (who at 205lbs and has been clocked running the 40 in 4.45sec (damn near 20mph)) coming in hot.

Rejoice! Teddy can throw an accurate deep ball when he sees the opportunity present itself.
