Stop whining and get ready for the long haul

Y'all wanted the team blown up, well it was, and this is what the result is. Stop whining. Our defense is going to be historically bad and our offense can maybe be competent at best.

We're 3-5 years away from being competitive. Buckle in for a long rebuild, like Tepper has been talking about for months now. He wasn't joking.

Anyone expecting us to compete for anything serious this season was expecting too much, evaluate players and enjoy. we are year 1 of a 3 year rebuild as I mentioned after we signed our Free Agents, you could see that all their contracts are targeted to expire within 3 years, that wasnt a mistake.

My only thing to whine about was they cut loose Cam Newton who had only 1 year left on his deal for Teddy Bridgewater and his noodle arm garbage and I wish they’d either kept Cam or gone with a young inept QB with the intention of being terrible to get Lawrence. They did some half assed in between crap

I was hoping for better play calling this game but guess that was asking for too much

You were hoping for better than 30 points today? Was it playcalling at fault for TB overthrowing a simple screen play to CMC by about eight yards? Was it playcalling at fault for Teddy running away from pressure and somehow forgetting it was still on his tail for a fumble? Special teams playcalling did hurt us with the fake punt. I’ll give you that one. The other issues are TB at fault.

Completely agree with you. Everyone just enjoy the positives we see out of the team this year.

There are none, that's the issue so far. I'm fine with us sucking and losing most our games and getting first overall pick, but at least show something fuging good. Nothing yet

None? Not a single player has been a pleasant surprise or a positive on the entire roster? Every loss is a step closer to getting a real QB in this draft. Brady has called a fine two weeks so far. Teddy shot us in the foot today twice in big ways but the playcalling itself had been fine.

I think Brady is still finding the strengths of his players, and what plays work and which ones don't.

I can see that just wanted to see him open up the playbook a little, but its understandable to try and feel things out a bit. Really want Daley to heal up and get out there to get some reps and experience, need some competent Oline badly.

    • no doubt.  I have zero faith in Bryce Young.  But if the Panthers employed me tomorrow and a reporter point blank asked me if I believed in player Bryce Young being able to do doing Y.....I would at least lie and say yes and then say a bunch of gobbly goo about it's not just about him.    I thought Dave choosing not to endorse his belief on Bryce when asked straight up there was either he spits SO MUCH bologna he forgot the technical right bologna and isn't even really listening to any questions....or water is just so wet he can't directly lie when it is that narrowed down.
    • Again they sign a playable back up and Bryce would have been done. They are working with a pussy as qb1 and they tried to make it work.
    • I didn't hold my tongue...I was out on Bryce LONG before he was drafted by the Panthers. Bryce's game did not translate well to the NFL. I vividly remember the 2022 Texas vs. Alabama game as the prime example of why Bryce would never translate well to the NFL. That was one of the best defeses Alabama played that season, a big chunk of players from that Texas defense are playing in the NFL now, and Bryce struggled all game. If Quinn Ewers didn't get hurt in that game, Texas would have won and the entire Bryce narrative changes.  If anyone wants a reminder, here's the highlights of the game. He looks like EXACTLY the same QB now. Nothing has changed.  Another thing about this game is it might have been rigged. This sh*t still bothers me. Young got sacked for a safety and the refs bailed him out with a blatant rigged call.
