There are some really dumb people here

Let me state this one more time for the slow people: the....coaches....know....more....than.....you.....do.

Teddy is a really good quarterback. He just needs a little more time with the players AND....wait for it....an offensive line that isn’t offensive.

There, I can’t make it any more easier than that. Accept the reality or keep on stomping your feet. Whichever you choose it doesn’t change the fact that the Panthers (with Teddy behind center) will be the team to beat in the South in two to three years.

Sorry he isn’t playing great.

Dude named himself after a qb he wanted but now he is crying about anyone who says a negative word about teddy. Bringing cam into the discussion for whatever reason like that justifies the contract we gave teddy and how pedestrian he looked today.

Teddy missed a wide open DJ Moore on 4th down. Teddy threw an awful pick on the first play of the final drive. Teddy still refuses to throw to end zone. Teddy was not good and he has his limitations. I agree he wasn’t the only one but the team put him in a situaation to go down and tie the game.

If there wasn't such a lack of execution or imagination in play calling by the team, the team wouldn't have needed to put itself in a situation to tie the game. That was on everyone including Teddy.

... negativity about Teddy...is childish and more importantly is simply wrong. Guy has hardly any time to throw. Coaches know more than the negative basement dwellers in this forum.  Guy has the goods...and again, the coaches know it. So stop it with the hate...just makes you look real dumb. He, like all QBs, just needs an average pass protection.

This.

Today's game was very winnable.

No one player is responsible for the loss.

There is plenty of blame to go around.

Good teams don't beat themselves.

Today is a growing experience for a team on the rise.

This is missing a key takeaway and data point. Regardless of the circumstances, and Teddy didn't play his best today, he failed to drive to a win. That was his failure as a QB. These are what differentiates franchise guys from the rest and while it's only one game, the overall sample size is small. This is a big negative within the current dataset.

You can kiss my ass.

I let you guys give me some hope this week. I thought ok let's just win it all.

Now we're back to where I thought we were.

Lukewarm.

Certainly you didn't think we're good enough to win anything more than a ticket to the dance. Even if we are lukewarm, that's better than what most reasonable people expected, which is room temperature. Many even said we'd be ice cold. So enjoy the surprise ride! We're still rebuilding! Still growing! Still developing! Still figuring things out! But, we're still further along than most dreamed we'd be after 6 games!

    • This is one of my key concerns lost in the sauce that is the neverending conversation about him evading pressure and the OL. Eventually any QB is going to have to step up into the pocket and show the defense they can still beat them even if they get through. We have a limited QB who cannot consistently do this and as such we are relegated to going back and forth about how successful he was at evading pressure but we have little else to write home about. Tyler Shough stepped up into the pocket and made plays despite being pressured and sacked. He's played in about 35 less games than Bryce Young. That is a problem. And isn't just going to go away. The Bucs are going to do the same thing after watching the film.
    • Oh, absolutely! That doesn't absolve the absolute dogshit hockey that the team played in front of him, though. Only Cane that played well tonight was Bradly Nadeau.
    • Thanks for illustrating my point.  No one in the last several pages of this discussion is suggesting we should hang on to him, but anytime someone says anything less than "take him out back and shoot him" you act like they are. That's either you not understanding what you're reading or just being a nimrod because you can't keep up. (I would have said 'or just sh-tposting' but you're way too emotional on this topic for that) Either way, the result is the same 😆
