Defense gave Panthers two opportunities at the end.

Although the defense missed some opportunities (dropped int. from Boston) etc. they did give the offense two opportunities to tie the game at the end, so hats off, they are still improving. The offense has to learn to be "clutch", Panthers had a chance to take this game, they're not far from putting it all together. Bridgewater is the field commander, he faced a playoff caliber defense today and got tested. Teddy has to bounce back!! In the future, CONNECT on that pass to DJ Moore, would have been a TD if not thrown behind him. DJ brought his A game today... Teddy has to get over this and find a way to CONNECT in those tight moments. When and if he does... This team will be a playoff level team... Some of this on coaching too. On 3rd and 19, in the first quarter, why are they dialing up an 8 yard come back pattern pinned that deep? Run the draw, punt, root for defense then look forward to the next offensive series. It gave the Bears 7 points and momentum, very costly. All and all though... This team still has the potential to go as far as they want. Get CMC healthy, and use him with Davis, huge upside!!

Although I think it was a relatively good game from DJ, let's not be shortsighted; he dropped a TD in the end zone. But sure, as the QB, Teddy has to be able to make that missed TD throw to tie the game, and he can't throw the pick on our last possession. The defense had just made a key stop.

Props to the defense.  I was actual able to watch this game on AFN instead of unreliable streaming.  DJ was involved but I think there were a few drops DJ had that were critical in our loss.

What I did enjoy was watching Chinn and Brown.  Brown is going to be a beast in the coming years, I mean Aaron Donald beasthood.  He add another TFL to his rookie count.

Foles leads the league is release (think the stat was 2.48 seconds from snap to release) so sacks were not going to be there.   Snow has done a good job and I hope that he continues to develop our defense.    A couple more studs and we'll start seeing our defense like it was when McDermott was here.  (Yes I liked McDermott)

Defense did their job. This is exactly the type of game that proves you need players like CMC and you can’t neglect the oline and just patch it up. TB certainley did not have a good game and shares blame, but his offensive support was nonexistent outside of Anderson.

The defense was a pleasant surprise. The bears aren’t a great offense but they’re the best in the league in the 4th quarter and the defense stepped up, very promising.

    • How many QBs hit from any school?  I've seen these arguments a lot but honestly so few even hit that it looks bad for most.  Recent history on UNC for example, Mitch bust, and Howell was at one time a 1st rounder dropped to 5th and is now on his 3rd team, so maybe the Pats shouldn't have drafted Maye?  Nah you never scout the school.  Even the ones you mentioned are outliers in their own schools.  Baker was dominated for a pretty dominate school, but I can't think of many Oklahoma QBs aside from him.  It takes so much for these guys to find success.  Clemson had Watson and then he fell off mentally, Lawrence isn't living up to his hype, Cade is struggling before he is even drafted, Whitehurst and Boyd never did anything, and Dantzler had to change positions.
    • Not gonna start a thread on this but AJ Brown seems pretty unhappy. I wonder if they lose a few games if they’d be willing to listen to an XL trade + a pick for AJ. Opens up cap space for them, and I do think XL could have a really solid role on that offense. TMac + AJ would be a top 5 WR corp
    • I gotta disagree with this. Shaq was a very good LB. He just stood in the shadows of two greats.  And this team has felt his loss from the injuries and now his moving on. We were better against the run with him here.
