Seeing Walker makes me see Teddy's limitations too

I could argue it either way. We left a lot of points on the board off those two turnovers. He cleans those up and I’m on board.

Yeah, no doubt, you can't ever take points off the board, and those picks did twice.  But, I love what I saw from him.  Perhaps more reps with the first team will clean that up...  I expect the goal line to be where inexperienced guys struggle most, so despite how bad those decisions were down there, I give him a pass this week.  He was so dynamic and gave our offense a new dimension aside from those plays...  I have a lot of hope for what I saw.  I honestly think they've stuck with Teddy because of his salary and the fact they vouched for him and cut a former league MVP and perhaps the most beloved Panther ever to hand him the keys.

As I've told friends when discussing Teddy, he doesn't move the needle one way or the other, and that's my issue with him.  I honestly feel in this offense, with these weapons, PJ or Grier would've either been 3-7 as well, or better, and I believe they could've been better because they're more likely to take shots downfield.  JMO, though...

Sure, Walker doesn't seem to have the split-second processing or the decision-making that Bridgewater has

when bridgewater was brought in his familiarity with the offense was supposed to be a selling point. meanwhile pj entered the game with 8 career pass attempts. tough to say what pj will look like once he has been given as many opportunities as teddy

He threw 2 of the worst red zone int"s I've ever seen.  PPL need to relax.

Neither of Walker's PI's were anything but ugly, but the second was also a busted play on a "throw to a spot" type of play. He still should have read the defense and gone to another option considering how many white shirts there were in the corner of the end zone, busted play notwithstanding.

Now, having said all that, Walker has infinitely more potential than Bridgewater and it's not even close. He's more athletic, has an incomparably better arm and honestly, probably, has comparable field vision, especially when you consider that he actually looks downfield. Walker trusts that he can make every throw whereas Bridgewater obviously does not. He also seems less prone to try to bail on his protection.

I know it was only one game but I would love to see Walker start the rest of the year to see what else is there as he gains timing and comfort within the offense and it's starters. The season is done and I've seen enough of Bridgewater to know what he offers - solid backup - and I've never believed in the tank. You always try to win, always, or you kill your culture.

first career start. being optimistic about pj after this game is nowhere near the level of overreaction we have seen on this forum. remember kyle allen? hell, remember teddy bridgewater?

I was really hoping when I came here after the game that someone would have already posted the “We need to extend PJ Waker now” thread. Disappointed in the Huddle.
