How much each NFL team paid players not on their team in 2020

Nothing surprising at all, dead cap figures are projected out for several years and saw this implosion coming.  I knew it was extremely bad and probably one of the worst in the League, so to see it actually IS the worst comes as shocking as someone saying water is wet.

Not something you want to be leading the NFL in but at least next year we will not have as much dead money.

I have been explicitly told that Carolina chose to sign Shaq Thompson instead of James Bradberry and that it's Shaq's fault that both teams are not in the postseason.

Surely, the $50M+ in dead cap space had no effect whatsoever on that... 👀

Can anyone explain to me how the saints seemed to have restructured the Brees contract to lessen the potential impact of him retiring but we seem to have taken the full brunt of Luke's deal? Is this something we could've done with Luke's contract? Or is there a difference in how they are structured? Or are they simply spreading his cost out over a longer period?
