I honestly see this as year one. We were never going to truly rebuild with Hurney giving out mega deals to aging vets. Now we have a new coach and GM and hopefully a new direction.

Eh. It's year two. Just because someone wanted to keep Hurney around it doesn't give Rhule a pass on his timeline.

We know you aren’t willing to give Rhule a pass but you were willing to give Ron one after being here for nearly a decade.

Eh it's actually the first year Rhule gets to work with his GM on personal decisions. Thus year one of rebuild and 6 more years of passes. Just saying...

As a Panther fan in February it makes sense to be positive and looking forward to an off-season and training camp and some return to normalcy as we hopefully transition away from Covid 19 as vaccines become more available. Tepper has his team in place and we will see what happens. It is way too soon to be negative. Plenty of time for that in the fall if things don't work out again......

    • Care to elaborate why you disagree? We kicked the ball off 3 times and we kept the Browns to starting field position of the 22, 27, and 10 (would have been 21 before a penalty). All 3 of those are successes with the modern kickoff rule.
    • Its August so obviously quality options are not there. The question is whether any improvement can be made to the bottom of the depth chart.
    • NFL has a huge amount of parity.  The talent level between most NFL starters outside of the top 5 to 10 guys at a position is very comparable.  2020 worst teams Jacksonville Jaguars - 1-15 (worst record in NFL) New York Jets - 2-14 Cincinnati Bengals - 4-11-1 Atlanta Falcons - 4-12 Houston Texans - 4-12 Carolina Panthers - 5-11 Detroit Lions - 5-11 Philadelphia Eagles - 4-11-1 Los Angeles Chargers - 7-9 Denver Broncos - 5-11 2024 Worst teams New York Giants - 3-14 (tied for worst) Cleveland Browns - 3-14 (tied for worst) Tennessee Titans - 3-14 (tied for worst) New England Patriots - 4-13 Carolina Panthers - 5-12 Jacksonville Jaguars - 4-13 Las Vegas Raiders - 4-13 New York Jets - 5-12 Chicago Bears - 5-12 Arizona Cardinals - 8-9 Bengals, Texans, Lions, Eagles, Broncos and the Jags have all made the the playoffs in the last 3 years. What I'm saying is it's stupid to argue when team is the worst when there is so much parity and the system allows quick turnarounds.
