Your problem is that someone told you about that 0-8, and you think it's a bible verse. What makes you think that any other quarterback will have the Panthers in those competitive situations. Some of you are willing to pay a kings ransom in an attempt to upgrade the quarterback position. If Teddy was so bad, why would it take so much to get better than him?

Teddy sucked on third downs, when u 8 yds he throws it for 3 yds, need 5 yds throws for one yard, I mean how many more examples can I give you.

Precisely because there is such a gap between the good QBs and the others. An elite QB does not guarantee success in and of themselves but there's no question that offensive dynamics and flexibility are a major advantage in overcoming other team weaknesses.

In Minnesota, and in New Orleans, Teddy won. What happened here?

They won despite his limitations via the supporting cast. That's always been the book on Teddy and non-dynamic QBs like that - can win a few games with loads of talent around them and perhaps the occasional Super Bowl with transcendent defenses but aren't good enough to elevate a team and overcome top-tier competition when it's on them to do so. Offensive football runs through the QB.

Where have I said that type of move was the only way?

It's what you want to do. You want style over substance. Teddy Bridgewater is not the worst quarterback in the league. As a matter of fact Teddy went from the top of the league in some categories to the middle. To want to blow up the team just to get rid of a player that only have two years left smells personal or just plain dumb.

I personally wont be watching if Teddy is the starter next year.

I cant watch him take another sack on 4th down with the game on the line, or throw the ball to the LOS on 3rd and 8.

The team was a lot better than we thought it was going to be last year. Just good enough to give the fans some hope, but Teddy is the hope crusher. He plays scared.

Others perhaps but I've never said it's what I want to see happen. In fact, I've said many times that I trust the staff/FO to improve the QB position and team overall however they determine the best path forward. If it's selling the farm then so be it, and if it's through acquisition of a vet/developing of drafting a rookie then that's their call. This staff and FO is still an unknown but at this point they seem to recognize the need for a more dynamic QB. I think as a fanbase though the dropoff from a Cam Newton to Teddy has made the deficiency that much more apparent and folks might be a bit knee-jerk. Cam wasn't a completion machine but he was dynamic and a playmaker.

I've also not said Teddy's the worst QB in the league, but he's clearly a lower-tier starter at best and after almost 50 starts is what he is. I've no idea what categories you're referring to with the 'top of the league' comment, but if it's his 2019 numbers the stats were exactly the same with the exception of an outlier 4 TD game against an atrocious Tampa Bay pass defense where nearly 1/2 of his passing yards were YAC. Some yards, lots of short completions, few TDs, and an offense carried by the talent around him.

If you can’t win a game less than one score 0-8 by the way and can even try to throw for first down on 4th and 9 with game on the line it’s personal.

Sorry facts are a problem for you...0-8

But reality is any Avg QB giving 8 opportunities to make a game winning or tying drive.. Will Win Atleast 1 of those games.. Even a below avg. QB giving that many opportunities will luck into Atleast setting the team up with a short FG..

I'm also very sorry that 15tds and 11ints aren't considered a good season  by most ppl who watch football...lol

I just think that this fanbase has grown up and after having a Cam even a Jake Delhome.. Can see what good QB play looks like even if they have Byron Bell and Nate Chandler at OT and no weapons surrounding them.. Look at Cam numbers that season..  Now compare them to Teddy's last season..  We don't have to accept bad QB play ..

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
