How did the Kavanaugh case turn out? While the Deshaun case and the Kavanaugh case are totally different the accuser in Kavanaugh was allowed to tell her story without attacks and it came out to be a load of bull. But if we completely dismissed it from the get go and allowed her to be attacked other would have validated her case.

My point was more about false accusations and people being convicted in the court of public opinion before all the facts come out, but that also works.

Exactly!!!!  Kavanaugh was able to defend himself and knew his accuser.  They were able to show that her story was fabricated.   The difference between Kavanaugh and Watson is that these women are hiding behind a lawyer that wants him convicted before there ever is a trial.

Reveal the names and let the defense and do their background check.  It's appalling that so many on here are ready to convict just because there are several women making the accusation.

Once again, I am not saying he is innocent but I am saying they need to allow his lawyers do their due diligence and investigate their backgrounds and come to the truth.

They did?

This is complete nonsense.

The "lawyer" has specifically requested a jury trial in each and every lawsuit filed...

...he has no expectation of convicting DW "before there is ever a trial"...

In the court of public opinion.

So you're ok with the fact that at defense will not give a list of the women accusing him.  I

He raped her.

Just about everything she spewed out of her mouth was a lie.  Did you not follow the hearing?

She didnt claim he raped her.  More sexual assault than anything.  And nothing was proven a fact one way or another.  And your quote was that they showed that the story was "fabricated" which in fact it wasnt showed either way

They call it due process for a reason...

...Hardin will get the info in due time.

The court of public opinion is not relevant.

    • All these rankings have more to do with the writers love or hate for a team.  Morgan, IMO, has done a really good job at building this team.  Yeah, there are a couple of whiffs but for the most part he has done quite well drafting and signing free agents.  22 is a bit low but it's a stupid opinion based on how little a writer knows about the Panthers.
    • When I saw that I was thinking the same thing.  If Evero does have a great season and gets hired as a head coach I wouldn't mind see McD as our DC.  If we do poorly as a team, I definitely would want him to be the front runner for HC.
    • But it's not about not upsetting a player under contract, it's about not causing a rift in the locker room. The players love Bryce, whether as a person or a player doesn't matter.  You can't spend a Top 10 pick on a QB and then still start your #1 overall pick in the last year of their contract. That act alone will cause a massive locker room rift/distraction that would be unavoidable.  Some players will question why you "wasted" a Top 10 pick on a QB you're not going to start instead of someone who can help right away.  While others will question why we are keeping Bryce around for the season when it's clear he's not the future guy at that point. It would just make for a bad start to the rookie's career while causing locker room distractions.  Again, I'd bet this has never happened in this league before with any 1st round QB, let alone the #1 overall pick, and there is a reason for it, which is that it would be epically stupid to do. And I used the Vikings as the example as they're the closest I can think of, because again, there isn't a direct comparison as nobody has ever done it because it's that dumb of an idea (no offense lol).
