More great work from Darin Gantt:
All the Panthers really did last weekend was change the entire way they do business on draft weekend.
That's all, just blowing up the business model, re-thinking the entire process, and building it again. That's it.
Now, it took months of planning, dozens of people, hundreds of Zoom calls, thousands of Marriott points, and unlimited cell phone plans to get it done
I remember a few of those felt bad even at the time:
Everette Brown had questions headed into the draft that made him feel like a reach pick, and I'm pretty sure Sherrod Martin was considered a reach as well.
Jimmy Clausen was an awful pick. Everyone knew it. Aramnti Edwards was picked at least a round too early.
2011: Sua and McClain, one of them was considered a reach iirc.
100% agree. We’ve got so many weapons. He will be a blocker first and foremost and any catches he can contribute are gravy. We’ve got so many weapons that his priority is going to be opening holes for CMC and giving Darnold enough time. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him spending a ton of time helping out the LT.
