That ATL Offense: Don’t panic

It depends. I could see Bouye being on Julio with Horn on Pitts or more so Ridley who has constantly killed Donte each year. I do want a FS. I’m not against it. Wanted Moehrig or Grant.

I didn't want Moehrig. Just not good enough. Still I wish we had done something more. In the old days we would just have our crappy safeties target the head to knock the ball loose. Now you have to play nice.

Just now, ColumbusCounty said:

Ridley - Jackson or Bouye

Pitts - Horn

Julio - Chinn

Ryan - Burns, Reddick, Brown, Jones

Honestly, one could apply that exact question to our Offense and add a healthy Cmc and a QB who can throw further than 35 yards.

The X-factor for our offense is the o-line and Darnold. Will the passing offense be explosive? Will the pass protection hold up after we passed on Slater? Will Darnold play better than his 78.6 career passer rating? We have no idea what's going to happen on offense.

When Jackson first got some confidence as a starter he would beg the coaches to let him play man. Recievers starting beating him deep, and would rant and rave about the receivers pushing off. Then he came to his senses and realized that this is not the 1990's and only the most rare elite CBs in the NFL, just a few freaks, can really lock things down. And even then there going to get burned here and there or get PIs.

Don’t like they have Pitts. That dude is no joke going to give us issues. Even with Horn, don’t think anyone will stop him and Jones.

But as said their defense still sucks balls, and no one goes to playoffs or wins games that matter without a defense.

    • Another thread where the Huddle melts down over a Bryce comment.  "Conversations" and "Bryce Young has been signed to a new long-term contract" are still far away from being the gospel.  For a fanbase that has watched two top-3 drafted QBs come here, and us move on, only to see them elevate their play elsewhere, I find it comical. Bryce is flawed but this org is damned if you do and damned if you don't with BY9.  Why would our GM and HC say anything other than supportive about their QB1. Yes, he's extended, but I truly do not think if he goes out and has a repeat of the previous seasons, that he is here beyond 2027. They're giving him every opportunity and surrounding him with a ridiculous amount of assets on both sides of the ball. If he continues to pitch 110 yd/ game and cough up the ball while everyone else is busting their ass, no way Dan keeps him beyond the extension.
    • Ooof, I was not a Proctor fan. I agree w/ a lot of smarter folks than me that he's more of a guard and think his weight fluctuation is going to be something to navigate. I liked Lomu a lot, but figured there would be more talented guys there at 19. I also wasn't big on bringing in a TE via the draft. If it's not a vet (Njoku) or a trade for Mayer or Kmet, I'd just as soon see what the youngsters have. No need cluttering the room with more of the same.
    • Sam Darnold & Bryce Young are two very different Qbs ..just saying the last 25 years approximately 2/3 of ALL  first round Qb's  in the NFL were or are bust.so for everyone who makes it like a Sam Darnold you have two that don't make it or are a bust
