Who was that Marshall roasted?

That was Omar Bayless and not Marshall, well if you are not talking about another clip that I missed.

Deep ball from Darnold to WR wearing white 17.

Edit. Another angle. From another poster above.

Horn. however, its one on one drills... always favors the offense.

If it's the Bayless clip, he is a 4.62 guy. But he somehow makes it work on deep balls. Was a favorite of mine before the 2020 draft. Holding my thumbs for him. We got enough talent at the slot.

Marshall was a different one. Much longer pass too. It might be in the other daily thread.

I just checked in all three training camp threads and dont find it.

I see Bill Voth and Steve Reed mentioned a deep ball catch from Marshall on twitter but no clip.

But this clip was posted in one of the threads.

Sam pick 6 on the 1st play of practice today.

was on the money,  went right through DJs hands and into Chinn’s

The great David Newton said one of the highlights was that Chinn picked off Darnold.  But that is all he said.  He leaves you to believe that Chinn made an outstanding play, or Darnold made a horrible throw.

But maybe his latte was not free today, we will give him another pass

I didn’t like the phrasing either but that want a great ball either

High and wide and half a tick late. Not the worst throw and not the best catch

Yeah, I saw that. But as I said, you get 2 hands on it, you gotta catch it. I will say, it was practice. But then again, you play like you practice. So i'm back to, you gotta catch that pass. Especially your star WR.

Yeah.  I'm sure Sam want's that one back.  Looks like route was slowing up a touch, and Sam over led him.  They'll get in sync.

    • If we don't go OT, we will regret it.  What bothers me?  Are we going to get a starting-caliber OT at 19?  I think the draft is solid at OT, and the more I read up and watch video, the more I watch Lomu, the more I want him.   I see Freeling as a RT who needs some work in run blocking (since we need to run first, maybe not a good fit) and I see Proctor ending up as a Guard.  After Lomu (assuming Mouigia and fanu are gone), I think we wait until round 2.  In round 2, there are about 3-4 I like (Zuhn--good pass blocker and VERY underrated right now; Tiernan is a very good pass blocker as is Miller from Clemson, but both are not good in the run game.  Max Ixxxxx from Ariz St is impressive too---technically, there is not a of difference in these second tier guys--good in pass pro, need work in the run game.   If we wait until round 2 for an OT, we probably need to sign Nijman and start him early.   I almost think this is what we should do if Lomu is gone.  There is a big dropoff after him, imo, and I think we'd get better value if a stud ILB or edge is there.  Someone like TJ Parker Clemson makes sense. If Lomu is gone, trading back might be the play.
    • And what is x gunna help with except show him what not to do. Plus for the first year and a half he was just an obstacle
    • I understand that some people want WR. I am solidly against using yet another high pick there. Coker is pretty good and we used No picks on him.  What I think we really need at WR is a little bit of a Smitty lite. It is ridiculous to say let’s get a Smitty because you just can’t do that, but someone not tall and long striding but more in his mold. I think we’d have a pretty well rounded group.    Looking at tackle, with replacing Moton looming, it just seems like the no brainer.  You fill in Icky short term. Depending on how he recovers, and how the new guy plays, you go from there. A tackle at 19 is most likely either a LOT, a ROT, or a big talented guard, at worst. We will need all three in the next couple of years.  I would love to have a stud ILB be there at 19 but the OL is the responsible thing to do I believe.
