It totally does have a lot of red flags, I couldn’t agree more it’s just an interesting situation. You really don’t hear teams trading their top ten pick a year later often. Urban Meyer seems like a strange coach, that’s one of the big reasons I would be interested taking advantage of a Bill O Brian type of guy.

It happened with Josh Rosen just a couple years ago. Three years removed from being a top 10 picks, he's barely hanging onto a camo roster spot on his 4th team. Sounds like he could expect to be cut any given day.

Beat writers on Twitter are saying he has been MIA since camp started.  Ranging from the covid list to personal reasons.   Wouldn’t be surprised if more info starts to come out in the coming days.   Something sounds off about him and the Jags on this one.

Yeah, something is seriously amiss her and like the Cards with Rosen, it feels like they've realized they made a huge mistake and would love the opportunity to get something back out of the deal.

Remember, Urban Meyer.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I fully expect Urban to be a poo show. He's gonna need Trevor to carry him like Cam did Ron and crew for this not to go ugly quick and unfortunately for Urban, he doesn't have the defensive chops that Rivera did despite Rivera's other numerous flaws.

    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
    • I don't really follow the team anymore due to a variety of reasons and consequently have largely stopped posting but I agree that this is a lovely website and community. This forum probably kept me around for years longer than I would've stuck otherwise because of how difficult it was to stop checking multiple times a day. Especially appreciate how lax the moderation tends to be compared to a lot of places, the crew here does a great job. Out of curiousity I decided to try making a new account (solely for testing purposes) to see what exactly is wrong with the sign up process. The issue seems to be that it never sends you an account verification email, thus making it impossible to complete registration. This is likely something to do with the email server upstream, hope it gets fixed. Also, lol
    • Uh oh, Nicole Tepper hugged him. In all seriousness though every time I see more about him my hopes get higher. Smart, great attitude, prototype size and measurables, and athletic. He could be a great one.
