We're sitting at 12pages, and look you still engaged in using foul language just to get a point across, which was once again wrong, like so many other things you try to stay on the fence about...

Cause you were so right about PJ

A pretty sizable portion of those 12 pages is people calling you a dumbass.

On that point, there doesn't seem to be much controversy at all.

I think PJs stats are deceptive and he could still be a good backup IF he can learn to protect the ball a bit better.  I like his energy and willingness to push the ball down the field... It was a stark contrast to Teddy.

Not sold on Darnold as long term solution at QB1, but I'm hopeful. He has the physical tools.  Only question if he has it between his ears to play smart.

No qb controversy in Carolina anyway. Just a couple of Huddle threads.  When there's real controversy... It's much worse hahaah.

Did you see how the Sam Defenders jump in here as soon they found out the boy might play....

Why, cause they scared, scared he might not perform well, hell Grier might look better in game time action than Darnold

Darnold's past stretches over 3 years, never saw it in him, even before he was drafted...

Always liked PJ...

PJ is older then Sam and has worse efficiency numbers almost across the board. I don’t get the love. We all hope he can be a solid backup but even that’s not set in stone. He isn’t starter material at a 8.9% INT rate.

Question who's the DUMBASS who said PJ wasn't a NFL QB...

Igo, originally. But I agreed and still do.

At this point, we're still hoping that he develops into a solid backup. If someone who's already a solid backup becomes available, it wouldn't surprise me to see him gone.

But whether that happens or not, he has no shot of unseating Darnold as the starter. The mere suggestion of it is delusional and just plain stupid.

The huddle exist in part to argue bad football takes until the cows come home.

if you can’t do that without name calling you are going to get a vacation.    That’s the overdue warning.

Exactly who are you talking about???

Because I've never called anyone out by name...but have received a fair amount of warnings for basically doing the exact same thing as some other huddlers...

Now if you Talking about mr.scot....it really doesn't bother me, my teacher always said those who are less intelligent can only remember so many words, I just took it he was home school.

As someone who is not certain if Darnold is going to be good, or get us a draft pick, there is still no doubt in my mind that PJ is solidly a backup.

And we're having this conversation because he had a mediocre game against 2nd and 3rd stringers.

Hard to "play smart" when you have to play "Hero Ball" 100% of the time because you had ZERO weapons all around you in NY and had to deal with a nitwit as your Head Coach.

I think he'll be fine.  🙂

    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
    • I don't think Canales has any problem benching Bryce or moving on if Bryce doesn't come out playing like the end of last year.  It's year 3 no more excuses for Bryce
