Stats are stats, and Jaycee Horn outplayed Moore when they were matched up. He played in college half a year ago and has had NFL caliber coaching along with tons of reps against NFL veterans. Why do you think he can’t improve since his last college game?

Not sure where this “Horn is no Revis” rhetoric comes from, but that is not a very good comparison and Revis is far from the only good CB to play in the NFL.

Let Jaycee Horn play and hold him to pretty high expectations because he went number 8 overall. Just cause the mainstream media isn’t hot on him doesn’t mean he ain’t a dog. Let the kid play and stop trying to mention him like he should be a top 5 CB of all time from day one.

You right that stats are stats.  And they alone, never tell you what actually went down on a football field.

you are projecting arguments I never made.  I didn’t say he couldn’t of made strides and improved since college.  I’m sure he has continued to grow    I said it is foolish for people to be pimping Horn as a shutdown corner week 1 of his rookie year.

who said he isn’t a dog lol?  And I’m the one arguing people shouldn’t set the bar so crazy high for him.   I’m clearly NOT portraying that he should be elite out of the gate.  That’s unfair to him.   That kinda the point I keep making.  Just like folks shouldn’t of expected Brown to an Aaron Donald nightmare last season upfront.

Could be Moore's NFL coming out party. By all accounts kid looked absolutely electric during camp. Will mostly be working out of the slot so will be interesting to see if you guys match him up with Horn. I'd think they would want to keep him on the outside and deal with Davis/Mimms/Cole. Generally speaking it would be a bit of a surprise to see a CB taken in the top 10 be used to cover slot guys, but it is his first game so maybe the coaches will want to ease him into it.

You don't need to agree with them ...............................................

That's absolutely irritating to see Panthers fans agree with the opponent's fans.   I'm like "then go f'n root for their team then".

I'd rather whoop their ass while they're full strength.  No excuses.

I'd rather play whomever is in front of me, full strength or not.  🤷‍♂️

Elijah Moore is more than capable of making a big impact...

Can't make an impact if he sees Jaycee running away from him (with the ball in his hand). 😏

Elijah is about to make you know who he is. Sad to say but you'll get my point soon enough.

I plan to sneak him late in fantasy.

I hope our defensive front neutralizes Wilson though. If they do, the Jets receivers won't do too much. If they don't, DJac, Horn and company may be able to mitigate any big damage. We'll see.

I know who he is, kid.

I’m confused on why he is talked about on here as if he’s the best WR we’ll be facing all season.

Jaycee Horn and Action Jackson about to make you know who they are. fug the Jets!

Now lets hit back on you comparing Crowder to David Moore.

Looks like you only pay attention to college football the way you have zero knowledge of the NFL guys but speak of Elijah Moore as if he’s about to be the next Julio Jones on day 1. 🤣

    • I don’t remember Mills from the USFL days just when he was in NO.  But when you saw Smitty it screamed oh yeah, this guy has something. Immediately. So, have not seen anything that dramatic with Young. All I know about him says he is solid with his character and smarts and don’t see a lot of that translating into screaming he really has something. I think the people that say he could possibly acceptably run an offense designed around him, with top flight talent in support, are probably about right. But I can’t see any Pro Bowls or lofty accomplishments in my crystal ball.
    • I thought I read they’d still be there but as a backup in case of malfunction.  So it’s not so much a goodbye as it is they’re being sidelined (I’ll see myself out)
    • Their forecheck is relentless because they are so physical and heavy.  It’s just a perfect mashup for how they play. Florida before Paul Marice played just like us. Speed but with finesse.  Paul made them but into playing heavy. They went and got players that added to that style he wants and it works.  Plus they have the best goalie in the league.  That helps more than anything. The canes have got let Koochie be their guy he will never become the star that most think he will if rod keeps sticking with vets that flame out.    1. Koochie or a Soros type player  2. Switch to zone defense  3. Get heavier.    like I said, I love Rod. Best pro coach ever in the Carolinas sports buy he is holding us back with his philosophy and style.  He is the reason.  He can change all of that with decisions.
