Correct, but that was more to Hartsfield looking really good b/c Elder looked decent.

Probably the best signing we could have made until Bouye is back in Week 3

Regardless, the Saints will be missing both Davenport and Lattimore next week, so no excuses

I think its vastly under-rated that once Hartsfield when down, the defensive started to struggle at the same moment. Im a fan and talked him up all mid-season/off-season, but didnt believe he was the one jenga piece that holds the D together(still dont, but it happened)

All the starters are holding it together.   It's when they start to go down and the even greener backups come in is when the trouble begins.

I'm not mad at that. Dude was literally our third highest rated defensive player last year (Iirc).

Beyond the pff though, he really showed some flashes last season. Inject him in this current defense and he should be even better.

Hartfield has a higher ceiling but Corn as depth/occasional starter would not be a bad idea in any case (didnt think I'd be saying that AT ALL his first couple years).

    • I’ve been saying it all along. It’s back to the elementary style of football it once was, sans the air attack. Back when you played with your boys, for your school, or 💩 even in the back yard. it is encouraging and cool to see. You do still need and benefit greatly from a general at the QB position though to keep the run defense honest. QB will always be the most important position in the game. That’s the stake of what we are living with Bryce and you got be willing to live and die with it, or find a way to survive. You keep paying him until you find one better. And I think as a franchise drafting one says all you need to say. It makes it known every spot is earned.
    • 100% of all pro sports owner do the same thing, (there is one who didn't, but I can not recall). Its the price of having a NFL or NBA or MLB or Hockey team or race track or etc in the area. They ALL get and ask for money. so screw you for making me defend tepper....!! Im sure you know the rent poor Mr.tepper has to pay each year as well.....   Plus its sorta been busted about the impact of having a pro team in the area. The impact is no greater than a super target, its basically the reason why county clubs members drive GMC rather Chevy or wear Rollie's that Seiko watches. Its a status symbol, plain and simple. "O you live in city without a NFL team, you're a fly-over poor".
    • 4 Freddie and 2 Koochie I think.    as for the first 3 shots.  That number goes to 9 or 10. It’s wild.
