well, I mean Joe Brady was a key element to a college football national championship and the greatest offense college football has seen…

and in a covid year, with no preseason, installing a brand new offense….and no CMC…with a horrible OL and Checkdown QB…..had us in virtually every game.

and presently we have a winning record with what has been the worst starting QB in the NFL over the last 3 seasons…

Joe Brady isn’t our main problem on offense.

No shiit! Be nice if the QB could hit guys wide opened after 10 yrds! All we have is 2 gloves+balls. Have to at least hit a third of those.

This is what happens when you signed a college OC. When will Rhule learn to hire a coach with NFL experience?

See the thing is, he wasn't even a college offensive coordinator. He was LSU's passing game coordinator. He didn't call the plays for LSU so it is kind of a giant question mark as to how much he actually had to do with their success.

He's nothing more than a media hype boy because of his age. If we was in his 40s or 50s no one would even know his name.

He did call plays for LSU. He and the offensive coordinator dialed it up where Joe Brady called the Red Zone plays I believe.

We don't have an OL or the answer at QB. Best of luck with high expectations given that reality.

So as a coach knowing that it is inexcusable to think it is a good idea to try and run up the gut with your third string running back in a single back formation.

Joe Brady is currently this offense's biggest problem. We know the line is bad and he isn't even trying to game plan around that. Rarely do we see FB usage or 2 TE sets. It is like watching Rivera and Co leave Mike Remmers on an island all game while he was getting abused by Von Miller.

Right. For once I saw Chubba run out wide on a 3rd down n got it. I thought, maybe he figured it out or maybe not.

I don't disagree that Brady has some room to grow as a play caller, but he looked a lot better last year with a limited QB who didn't have such a tendency to throw the ball to defenders.

Bridgewater had his fair share of god awful interceptions. At least our current QB doesn't have the tendency to check down on 4th and long.

It would be beneficial to our QB if our offensive coordinator knew it was probably a bad Idea to call sideline curl routes with multiple timeouts remaining when trying to conduct a game winning drive. Those plays are some of the easiest to jump and intercept in football.

It would help if our QB understood if the read isn’t open there is another one you can take. He forced those. It didn’t work out.

Oh don't get me wrong Darnold was awful this game but his line and coordinator didn't do him any favors.

The last int he should have went with the safe throw to Ian Thomas to gain back the ten yards we had just lost. It was 1st and 20 with the the incoming 2min warning. Darnold needs to be aware of those things in that situation. 2nd and 10 with 2 min and 3 time outs is not a bad situation to be in.

I noticed a few weeks into last season, this coaching staff struggle with 2nd half adjustments/game plan, on both sides of the ball. Marry that with a less than mediocre O-line, and that's no formula for success.

The defence has somewhat improved in personnel, but there's no one out there leading or directing them around.

Last week Cowboys DB figured out that Panthers WRs were running the same routes all games so they jumped route and picked off Darnold.  Looks like the same happened this week.

That's brutal.   Why not just give the Eagles the Panthers Playbook, Joe?   Sylvester Stallone Facepalm GIF

    • Okay then, tell me what your expectations are for Thielen, XL, and Coker this year If someone wants to come out there and say they think Thielen is only getting 600-700 yards this year, then yea, I'm going to then expect T-Mac to get to 1,000. If someone wants to say they think XL or Coker is going to fall back to 300 yards this year, then yea, I'm going to expect T-Mac to get to 1,000. People seem to think I'm making excuses for why T-Mac can't get there, but it's the literal opposite, my expectations for him stem from my belief our other WRs for the first time in who knows how long.   We finally have a legitimate and full WR room, not sure that's happened since the Smitty and Moose days.  It's going to make them all better players, but it will also suppress all of their stats as they're all going to cannibalize each other a little bit.
    • It’s certainly not my shining moment. But I still made it. Running the Sacramento marathon in December and hope to have a more Jake Delhomme-level of stardom there. The Everyman that overcomes obstacles to almost reach the pinnacle of success only to have it taken away by Adam Vinateri.
