What a perfect time for a bounce back opponent like the Pistons. Like what I'm seeing from everyone and Harrell is an infusion of energy we needed. Also kudos to Bouknight for the basket to end the half and make a new record for the franchise. Can't believe some fools wanted to use him as trade bait.

Seems like Trez here/Ish gone opens things up for a better rotation that'll also keep the young guys happy. I didn't catch the game, just highlights but for coming in cold the chemistry w Trez looked good. Just get some timing things down and they might make the legit playoffs (Not just the play-in)

CHA: Gordon Hayward: out (ankle), Cody Martin: out (left ankle/Achilles soreness), Jalen McDaniels: out (left ankle sprain).

MEM: Santi Aldama: questionable (right foot soreness), Dillon Brooks: out (left ankle sprain), Yves Pons: out (left thigh soreness), Killian Tillie: out (back soreness), Xavier Tillman: out (right thigh soreness).

 

The Charlotte Hornets ended a six-game losing streak last night in Detroit, and tonight they have a chance to end a five-game skid at the Spectrum Center against the Memphis Grizzlies.

All-Star point guards LaMelo Ball and Ja Morant square off for the second time this season, with the Hornets taking a 118-108 win on Nov. 11. Memphis comes into this one winners of four-straight, averaging a league-leading 130.5 points, 57 rebounds and 30.3 assists per game in that stretch. They’re also second in offense and sixth in defense. The Grizzlies have the third-best winning percentage on the season, but they’ve been especially good in the last few weeks.

Steven Adams is scoring the fewest points per game (6.8) since his rookie year, but he’s still Steven Adams. His 9.6 rebounds lead the Grizzlies and a rebounding percentage of 19.3 ranks sixth in the NBA among qualified players. A few days ago, this was a much worse matchup for the Hornets. The addition of Montrezl Harrell shores up some of Charlotte’s interior finishing and rebounding deficiencies, and he’s made an immediate impact.

It really seems like Harrell injected the locker room with a burst of energy upon his arrival; former Louisville Cardinals teammate Terry Rozier did promptly record his first triple-double as a Hornet in Harrell’s first game.

      You would hope so. I’m confused why the sports world seems split on Bryce when he’s obviously not working out.

      So let’s do the reverse? Make everyone agree everything he does is a disaster? I also think the whole “gaslighting” is on the eye of the beholder. It went from he can’t avoid one single sack countered with he actually did that well Sunday (with data backing it) to a little breakdown of why he is so bad. People are going to have different opinions. I’m also not going to pretend this wasn’t happening Day one with this little QB.

      All this great stuff he has done, how often does he do it?  I have it at three or four games out of 14 where he was very good and then you get a drive here or a series there where there are some good things. Here is the gaslight part: everyone has put him on a curve with his first year the baseline, neglecting to understand how bad he was then. Even if he comes back twice as good, where does that really leave him? 25th ranked or thereabouts.     He had so far to go, and still does, it is a Major ‘settle’ to accept his play as worthy of giving him our future.  You want to settle when the Bucs have Mayfield, and the Saints have overtaken us at QB? We will be third in the division at QB. That is good enough for y’all?
