Deeeeerp. You don’t have to read between the lines when it comes to Miami, as you and others have had to desperately and idiotically do for Carolina. Idiots.

The Carolina Panthers had no further interest in trading for Deshaun Watson due to lack of clarity with his legal situation and Watson's plans with his no-trade clause, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Watson is facing 22 lawsuits alleging sexual assault and inappropriate behavior and has not played a down for the Texans this season. He has a no-trade clause in his contract, which he's willing to waive for the Dolphins.

The Panthers, who explored a potential Watson deal dating back to the offseason, got indications that Watson would be interested in playing for them but hadn't received that commitment in writing -- a customary step for a no-trade clause -- as of this week.

"[The Panthers] felt he would have come to Carolina, but [that] he wanted Miami first," a source told ESPN.

The Dolphins are the only team that Watson is known to have waived his no-trade clause for, according to sources. Watson has not done the same for the Carolina Panthers or any other team, sources told ESPN.

It’s pretty damn clear we were prepared to give up whatever it takes and he repeatedly said nah. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.

Why would any team want this piece of trash?   All of these teams talk about only wanting high character players.   Garbage.   If Watson was a fringe player, he would never play in the NFL again.   But, these GM’s are willing to sell their souls for some wins.   And so are some of our fans.  What if it was one of your daughters being molested by Watson?

Eh...IDK about "clear." The one thing that seems to be clear is that the sources everyone has aren't saying the same things.

    • Just worry about it next year.  Its that simple honestly.  its way to early to do what ifs.  I could see us trade/cut chuba and retain dowdle, I could see them let dowdle walk and go with Chuba/Etienne and Brooks, and I could see Dowdle and Chuba both stay and see what happens.  Hell, we still have 6 games left THIS season plus possible post-season...what if Rico or Chuba have an ACL tear or severe injury.  I DO NOT want that to happen, but stuff like that does happen.  Remember RB is the most injury prone position in the NFL due to the beating their bodies take so having some extra guys is never bad, just wish it hadn't come at the cost we paid to get him.
    • I think it’s cool that no one can be really certain what the outcome will be.  That’s a lot of progress! This is a real opportunity for us, I’d be happy with a competitive game and thrilled if we sack up for a W.
    • I could never found out who did the first surgery. That failed.      Nor who did the recent one.    Yiu can’t count on anything involving him. If it happens it’s a windfall at this point.
