Did people not say the exact same thing about Darnold? I don't watch much of Trubisky and have no opinions on him, just that your post was exactly what plenty of people said about Darnold.

Sadly, we've still no real proof that Darnold has had a good coach in the NFL yet. His OC hasn't done him any favors, his offensive line coach hasn't done him any favors, and apparently his QB coach eats jelly donuts and makes him watch Ghostbusters II for practice.

I mean, there's a good chance Darnold is toast for his career after this, but I'm not sure Joe Montana could have thrived here at this point in time.

Well that is what people said about Darnold/Gase but Darnold doesn't appear to work anywhere either.

See above, not sure we've got a good coach or OC or Oline coach or QB coach. Trainer, WRs coach, quality control coach, et al questionable as well.

Most elite QB's would have done far better than Darnold has here. Most average QB's would have done far better than Darnold has here. Most QB's would have done far better than Darnold has here.

    • I think the difference is that this year we are basing our hype over players and not the coaching staff.  Especially under Reich.  The star-studded coaching staff was going to put us back on top.   This year the offense improves with the addition of TMAC and keeping all our O-line assets on the roster plus we added depth at RB and TE.   Evero was retained because, IMO, he didn't have any talent to work with outside of a couple of players. This year almost every position was address and IMO better depth. There are a few question marks but the improvement of the D-line may help cover some flaws in the backend.  I am more excited about this season, talent wise, than I have been in several years.
    • A few autographs i have.  Stephen Davis Jonathan Stewart     Chuba Belongs.   (1 B, 2 B's,  who honestly gives a fug).
    • I don't think he faked any injuries. He is juat injury prone due to overtraining and general makeup. There is no conspiracy here.
