Cam’s leadership is just effortless.  It is amazing how infectious his attitude is immediately

The minute he walks into a locker room, he owns that locker room.  Its why you can't have Cam as a backup.  Players for the Lions say that part of Matt Patricia losing the locker room was when he tried to play video of Cam dancing and celebrating.  Patricia wanted it to piss players off and get them motivated to stop Cam.  Maybe Belichick could have pulled it off but the Lions players weren't buying it.  Players like Quandre Diggs and Darius Slay (both traded away later) were laughing and dancing with the Cam video.

Players love Cam and what he represents.

Might be reading into it too much but I think Robby was really unhappy. Like more outwardly then the rest of the offensive players. Cam seems to be taking him under his wing. Said something like your energy is off. Took him out to dinner. Sam Darnold’s play fuged that dude up.

Why? He has $20 million coming his way next year and is set for life. Seems like a good guy and has a nice long career ahead of him holding a clipboard. 99.99% of the world would love to be in his shoes

This is why I couldn't feel bad when Delhomme was cut. Or any player that isn't a roster bubble player for that matter. I love Donte Jackson more than most fans but I won't be sad for him if he was benched or signed somewhere else next year, dude is getting paid regardless in 2022.

Yeah 20 mil softens the blow a bit.  Anybody realizing they can cut it at a job  needs time for processing. It sucks to have to do it in public.  But yeah he can still go and look at the bank balance and smile.

I mean yeah, that's not what I'm talking about.

At the end of the day sam is a human, and I can't imagine how bad it feels to be totally shat on.

I might be to empathetic about it, but still, guys prolly not feeling good.

He had ample opportunity and the tools to succeed here. He’s just not a good QB. He is below average but duped a team to draft him at 3 then duped another team to guarantee his 5th year. If that’s getting 💩 on then give me all the poo you can give

I get you, that's not particularly what I'm talking about.

Just trying to be human.

Some players are just competitors and others are fine with getting a fat check and cashing it in the rest of their career. We should be glad Robby was getting pissed that we sucked even after getting paid. Sam Darnold almost cost him his career and a chance at a payday in New York and then we brought his as to Carolina. It's pretty evident that he was not happy about that.

It is the same thing with Cam. He has made a ton of money but more than anything the guy just wants to win football games.

Although does help and is nice to have, money isn't everything to everyone.

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
