Anyone who wouldn't take Jason Campbell over Jake Delhomme is not only a BDJS, but also a complete moron...

Jason Campbell would instantly move our offense into the top ten of the NFL, and possibly very close to the top... He is mobile, actually makes reads, and usually makes smart decisions when under pressure, unlike our boy Jake...

Not only would he be a GREAT move by Hurney and company, but he COULD be a Franchise QB in our system (2 strong RBs in support, and one of the best WR in the game)...

Put down the bong there Junior.

Jason Campbell is terrible. Makes smart decisions under pressure? Are you kidding me? Apparently you have never actually watched him play.

You're talking about the 2010 draft? The one some experts think may be as quarterback rich a draft as has been seen in years? That draft? :sosp:

(and absolutely we have things to trade)

your talking about the draft were theres are a lot of good QB..but nodody sees that sure #1 franchise QB??

It would be best too get a vet in here and let the rookie sit.

People say "look at how many offensive systems he's been through" as if bringing him into another one would help (sixth time's the charm?)

He's had a decent supporting cast in DC (Portis, Betts, Moss, Randle El, Cooley, Samuels, etc) but has still shown fundamental weaknesses.

He's a reclamation project. Essentially, David Carr Part II. Not what we need. It we're going to have to build a QB from the ground up, I'd rather it be a rookie.

His offensive line is the problem. Losing Chris Samuels, Randy Thomas, and even Jon Jansen don't help anything... Though I would be concerned with the fact that he's been through so many different offensive systems. His brain is probably going to explode the next time he has to learn a new system. That is, unless Jeff Davidson has anything to do with it...

I initially said he wouldn't be a good pickup before, but I honestly think it wouldn't hurt to try him out. We have a good o-line...

What has Campbell proven with a lot more depth at receiver then us?

He has improved in QB Rating and Completion percentage every single year even up to right now since he first came into the league. He does this with a shitty o-line and with RBs that cant stay healthy. The only WR he has is Moss who is inconsistant. And Cooley. Other than that, their WR group isn't that good. Randle El sucks.

Nice to call people moron because you don't agree with them or because they don't want a player you want. Grow up for once than using childish name calling like that to label people with different opinion. This behavior with name calling is like al-Qaida telling us to convert to Muslims or they will wipe us out.

Nice to see you're a blind BJJS. No difference than the BDJS.

Everyone want David Carr V.2 there? Anyone? Bueller, Bueller, Bueller??

    • https://www.yahoo.com/sports/article/versatile-2nd-db-named-panthers-154026075.html Smith-Wade's ability to play corner, nickel and safety makes him valuable to a young defense trying to rebuild after finishing last in the NFL a year ago. "Chau took advantage of an opportunity,'' coach Dave Canales said. "He made tackles. He had an opportunity on an interception, and he made it.'' Our defense has got to come alive for us to have a chance of winning our Division!
    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.
