I dont understand why some "people" have a problem with Rhule liking Jay-z??? Hes like the ideal american success story. Dude went from crack dealer project dweller....Rejected by every major record label in his career to where he had to create his own. They become the biggest label.. became a living legend as far as rappers go. President of Def Jam, Marries the Baddies RNB singer of our time. Branches out and has success in clubs, liquor movies, creates a huge sports agency all while becoming one of the first black hiphop billionaires... And yet people chuckle over Rhule admiring Jay-z....

Good point. Nobody would laugh at a woman looking up to Oprah. Jay-Z is of Oprah's ilk .. Matt Rhule looks up to an extremely successful businessman, why is that laughable?

Because a rapper doesn’t relate to, and isn’t remotely relevant to anything close to what he is trying to do - build a successful NFL franchise.

He didn’t just come out with an off the wall out of the blue statement like I respect Jay Z as a businessman…you guys don’t really understand context? My god.

The point was that success takes time even for hella successful people, like Jay-Z. If it only took two seasons to get your offensive line right every team would have a good line.

It does perfectly. Jay-z isnt just a rapper... Hes a businessman who created a billion dollar image out of nothing.  Rhule is saying basically rome wasnt created in a day.. It took jay-z 7 years before he hit pay dirt which is fine... Rapper is just one of his paths to success

    • Per Bill Barnwell  Broncos part ways with a CB on the roster bubble Broncos get: 2026 seventh-round pick Panthers get: CB Damarri Mathis The Broncos have a rare problem among NFL teams: too many cornerbacks. ESPN's Jeff Legwold projects they could move on from Mathis, who was very good as a rookie in 2022 before losing his starting job after the defense's slow start in 2023. He played just 27 defensive snaps after Week 6 that season and 80 more across 10 games in 2024. With the Broncos using their 2025 first-round pick on cornerback Jahdae Barron, they could justify moving on from Mathis, who might not be active on game days even if he sticks around. Mathis' best season came with defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero in Denver, and he hasn't been able to reach those same heights since Evero left for Carolina. The Panthers are set with Jaycee Horn, Mike Jackson and nickel corner Chau Smith-Wade as their three starting corners, but Mathis could push the 28-year-old Jackson and serve as Carolina's primary reserve on the outside. Mathis is owed $3.4 million in 2025, so Denver might essentially buy a draft pick by eating some of that cash, similar to what the Commanders did when they sent running back Brian Robinson Jr. to the 49ers.
    • They can get fuged for a 6th and 7th. Doesn't make sense for us for anything less than a 4th and them paying a majority of his salary.
