Haven't seen jack.

Ellis has been lobbying for us to go after Brenston Buckner. That'd make sense for us but it'd be a lateral move to a worse team for him.

That, plus as I recall he didn't necessarily depart on the best of terms here.

Yeah he is probably is a no for us. I'm really concerned about both line coach selections.  I will have a keen interest in both those positions.

No he turn us down lol, it’s not like it’s alot of damn money lol

Yup it's not that hard to fix special teams with a full offseason. He's holding out for that Chargers job where he can get a little bit of credit for helping them get into the playoffs next year. I'd do that same. Matt Rhule would tell you he's signing and then bail on you a day later so only fair that it's happening to him. Gotta be super apparent to Tepper that this isn't working out

With so many jobs in flux right now, it’s gonna be a bunch of price tag negotiations. It’s a competitive market right now due to all of the open positions

We're not exactly well positioned on that front, either.

Hell, if this were a beauty pageant, I'm not sure we'd even rate as Miss Congeniality.

Coaching updates from a few different sources: Albert Breer (The Monday Morning Quarterback), Peter King (Football Morning in America) and Aaron Wilson (Pro Football Network)

The Giants GM choice came down to Joe Schoen vs Adam Peters. Along with Brian Daboll (2nd interview) new GM Schoen will be interviewing Dan Quinn, Brian Flores and team DC Patrick Graham for the head coaching position this week (Breer)

The Jaguars are expected to start conducting in-person second interviews for their head coaching job shortly. Expected candidates include Matt Eberflus, Byron Leftwich, Todd Bowles, Jim caldwell and interim head coach Darrell Bevell (Wilson)

Dan Quinn is the "big domino" that everyone is waiting to see fall. Once his new home is decided, a lot of other jobs could be finalized quickly (Breer)

Quinn is still the betting favorite to win the Broncos job, but Packers OC Nathaniel Hackett is also considered a "finalist". With Hackett, the Broncos are pondering whether he might help them land Aaron Rodgers (Wilson)

The Raiders might be looking to pair Jim Harbaugh with Colts Assistant GM Ed Dodds. Both have a "no nonsense" approach and are seen as a good fit for a rethought "franchise model" in Vegas (Breer)

The head coach hiring cycle is going slower than usual, with part of the reason being the opinion that there are no real "superstar" candidates. Quinn and Flores are the closest, but even they have "zits" (King)

Despite the head coaching change, the Texans are apparently wanting to retain a number of current assistants from David Culley's staff. That list includes DC Lovey Smith, ST Coach Frank Ross, OL Coach James Campen and potential OC Pep Hamilton (Wilson)

The next GM candidate to be hired will likely be Chiefs Executive Director of Player Personnel Ryan Poles, either by the Bears or the Vikings (Breer)

Eagles DC Jonathan Gannon is said to be nailing his interviews and could become a hot name (Breer)

And finally, there's a sense around the league that Matt Rhule is a lame duck head coach in Carolina. It's reportedly one of the reasons Pep Hamilton declined to interview for the OC spot and others could pass on opportunities in Carolina for similar reasons (Wilson)

The guys on FSR this morning were talking about Quinn going after Getsy as his OC for similar reasons, if Quinn got the job in Denver.

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
