Hmm… so what changed between the time he said he didn’t want to play in Carolina and now? It’s not like the team has made upgrades besides a couple new staff members.

Nothing.

This isn't new information. It's a rehash of a report from Aaron Wilson that we've already seen and discussed...extensively.

Imagine Watson and CMC, DJ, Terrace with experience, Robby bouncing back with better passes, Christensen at LT, Moton RT, our center back off IR, Deronte at RG, maybe draft a LG later. That offense with a new OC, and our defense more experienced. That team can win now.

And no first round picks for 5 years

Yep. It’s broken down Cam, Deer in the headlights Sam, or trading for Cousins or Garappalo. Given those options may as well get Watson baggage and all.

Seems like the obvious choice. So it comes down to being outbid by some team like Miami, which is highly likely imo.

Even if they got Watson this franchise would continue to be inept and find a way to waste any talent on the roster. I’m pretty confident that whoever they draft at 6 or end up trading for will ultimately bust under the current regime regardless of the player and their skill set.

So are you going to leave until we clean house and get rid of all the coaches and GM?

The strangest thing about the Watson dream is that he suddenly makes us a contender.  He is good but he isn’t that good.  Silly.  If we somehow got Rodgers this team would be amazingly better but Watson hasn’t played in 2 years.  Who knows what we are getting with him.

No because I’m not 12 and it’s just a game that doesn’t affect my life either way.

More teams involved in the bidding process the more likely the stakes will be raised.  The higher the stakes the more likely that Houston will give Watson what he wants, a trade.

Also means there's no incentive for the Texans to back down on their asking price.

No way in hell we should even consider that.

Best Case Scenario for Panthers Roster (Next 5 Years): Deshaun Watson and 52 JAGs. No Picks/No Cap

Worst Case Scenario for Panthers Roster (Next 5 Years): Deshaun Watson on IR and 53 JAGs.  No Picks/No Cap
