Each team is filled with scumbags, some keep it hidden better than others, so stop acting like that matters. At the end of the day it’s about what they do on the field and winning. That said it’s not worth trading for him until we know what’s going to happen with whatever you want to call it. I think the worst thing that can happen is he gets suspended for 1 year. He is still a top QB and would offer a decade of top qb play at QB. Still I say wait and see if we can get a better deal on him, the longer he sits the more his value lowers.

Trading has yet to resume and we can sit and bide our time of course. No team will want to trade for him so long as his legal troubles remain, so it's fine to stand pat. We know that Fitt and our scouts are incompetent at evaluating QBs, and that makes Watson all the more critical to our success. He's already a proven top quality QB, so we can't miss if we can get a decent deal.

Yup, I think we can get him cheaper, I mean what is Houston just going to sit him until they get 3 1st rounders? No, each season he’s away from the nfl he looses value. worst case scenario he gets what some sexual harassment charges? Let’s also be honest for those who are acting all morally superior, this poo happens all the time but it’s swept under the rug because people get paid off or people help cover it up.

Fiit and Tepper need to be on the phone with Goodell. We need to know what puss Goodell will do with Watson in each possible scenario. There is the letter of the rules, and there is Goodell pulling something out of his ass.

Remember that Fitt and his scouts don't know what they're doing as far as evaluating QBs is concerned. You don't want them picking a QB in the draft, and you certainly don't want them taking another long shot on a washed up/ never was veteran.

I agree. I'm just tired of all that comes with it now.

He's a franchise QB. No doubt about it.

We are bound to make a trade for a QB....again. Considering the options Watson is by far the best talent available. If they don’t get him then it’s some other sorry ass QB to add to the pile.

It's basically Watson or we're spending 2022 watching REALLY bad QB play in a QB league.

Imagine Watson and CMC, DJ, Terrace with experience, Robby bouncing back with better passes, Christensen at LT, Moton RT, our center back off IR, Deronte at RG, maybe draft a LG later. That offense with a new OC, and our defense more experienced. That team can win now.

You mean CMC for 4-5 games

    • I really appreciate Bill explaining his methodology here because that gives interested parties a chance to try and recreate the results themselves. I believe that it's safe to assume that despite emphasis being placed on WRs that Chuba Hubbard is one of the Panthers' top-5 weapons. Considering targets, yardage, receptions, etc... Adam Thielen and Xavier Legette are also on the list. Jalen Coker's success might have snuck him in there as well. I can't draw a conclusion on who #5 is though. I've narrowed it down to Diontae Johnson, David Moore, Ja'Tavion Sanders, and possibly Rico Dowdle if they're taking into account his production for the Cowboys in 2024.
    • Unfortunately business is business especially when there are large sums of money on the table. Goes the same for player and ownership. Does not make it right either way.  Why would he not want to play for the niners? Closer to home with a team that has a chance of delivering a SB trophy.
    • I don’t know if it’s him bad mouthing his former situation in public or my pettiness but either way I’m not a fan. Dude was on playoff teams getting paid millions to entertain. I’m not better that because and I am better than that. You don’t bad mouth your former employer in public. Esp after getting over paid and two, poor little Russian baby didn’t get the playing spot he wanted. Rod had him exactly where is was supposed to be.  He had a mean lip check and did defend our players. Specifically the devils game around Christmas where is our Haula on his ass. Cool. Thank you. But don’t talk poo about us. Because it make you look like Haula.    “need to get as far away as possible”. fug off. Didn’t see Burnsy bad mouthing and his play dropped off too.    sorry, but Orlov doesn’t get a pass from me. See you twice a year…
