Me too.

I think holding onto Burns is a pipedream though. If Watson is a Panther I'll be shocked if Burns isn't a Texan. As blatantly desperate as Tepper is to get this done, I wouldn't be surprised if the Texans fleece us out of Chinn too.

Yeah, I agree with you.  Ideally I hope we can find a way to keep both of them.  Hell, I'd rather throw in another 2nd rounder if it means we could.  And I'd almost feel insulted that they are even pushing for both...  I really, really hope we hold onto proven assets like Burns and Chinn in this.  Brown, I couldn't give a fug less.  Horn, I like him but the injury scares me a bit and we're deep at corner with a GM that comes from a background that was able to find them no matter where they're projected, so losing him wouldn't bother me much.

If we could somehow convince them to take the chance on McCaffrey in place of one of Burns or Chinn and then send another draft pick in the place of the other, I would be ecstatic, but I agree with you about Tepper...  his desperation scares me, and I think as evident with the Darnold trade last year, other teams smell it on him.

With no clarification. That could mean he's willing to waive it period. It could also mean that he simply won't block the move if it's the only option on the table. If there are two competing offers, Watson has the ability to choose his fate, that's all I'm saying.

Y'all are forgetting that he's getting a paycheck no matter where he goes.  It mostly depends on Houston accepting the deal. If he goes nowhere, he still gets money.

I doubt that matters in the grand scheme of things.  Location to family doesn’t move the needle when your franchise is ringling brothers circus

Yeah, people keep talking about how downtrodden this franchise is. Not realizing his only option as of right now is a Franchise that just traded and released the majority of the reason they had 7 wins last year. LOL.

His options right now aren't exactly between the Rams and the Bengals. Come on guys.

It's not about what they would love, like, or hate. It's about Watson having the legal ability in his contract to force what he wants.

Yeah, but again. He wants out of the Texans bad enough and is willing to waive that clause.

You guys keep going back to the clause thing, when it's been reported he will waive it. For an article that was about the Panthers offering up the biggest package.

Pete Caroll is 70 years old, and very close to retirement and was even rumored on the hot seat, and their roster sucks worse than the Panthers roster on paper. But give me more opinions bud! I'm for it!

Reported and speculated are entirely different things
