I'm in the minority but I don't have a huge problem with him starting to begin with. We might even be able to trade him if he does well.

I completely agree. I say start darnold with an improved line and see what happens.

I agree with you guys, but I'm surprised the poo police hasn't been by.

Lucky for us you won't be making the decision. No one wants to watch that rerun.

Let's take a quick look at the Pickett v Howell thingy.

Offensive line? Neither team could run the ball, and both QBs ran for their lives, a lot. So...EVEN

RB? Neither team could muster much of a running game. So...EVEN

WRs? Neither team had what you may call a NFL type guy. So...EVEN

Yet 1 QB (Pickett) played much better than the other QB (Howell). I wonder why? Probably because he is a "Man among boys". lol

This is one of the most completely full of poo posts ever made on this forum.

OL? Pitt #36, UNC #102

https://www.pff.com/news/college-football-ranking-all-127-fbs-offensive-lines-through-cfb-week-13

RB? Their RBs combined for roughly the same stats. The big difference was Howell added almost 900 yards and 11 TDs.

WR? Pitt had a true sophomore literally win the Biletnikoff Award given to the best WR in college football. He's considered a potential top 10 pick in 2023. UNC had one legit WR who will be a slot only prospect in the NFL and likely a mid-round pick.

Howell has produced without Josh Downs. Kenny Pickett never did anything until Addison emerged as the best amateur WR in the world.

Gotta love when someone is clueless enough to serve up a post that utterly betrays that they have no clue what they're talking about.

Darnold will be the QB this coming season. Most fans will spend their Sundays watching something else. Life goes on.

I’ll watch and then I’ll bitch and cry because I’m a Panthers fan damn it and that’s what we do! (Well I’ll at least look for highlights if there are any)

Dude do you just come on here to be a jerk? You know you can just look and not respond right.

Lmfao asking for a QB who isn't the worst in the league is being a jerk? Even PJ Walker is arguably better. Don't be ridiculous we're both grown we can admit the truth.

Like I said, you just can't help yourself. I don't give a poo what you think. No one needs your idiotic responses was what I was trying to convey to you. I swear you and Burns must be brothers or alts.

Lol look for those crisp looking, spiral throws that go straight to the other team. Those highlights will be plenty. Also, highlights of Sam getting ran into the ground after holding on to the ball for 8 seconds. I would love to be wrong though.

    • The organization was poorly put together from top to bottom and it shows. Management was in bunker mode and we had a guy as GM who could not evaluate talent either in the draft or free agency. We had just gotten away from a "culture" HC who needed to stay at a mid-majors college and replaced him with a guy who had a lot of emotional ties to the team but had just come off of a collapsing team of his own in Indianapolis. And that guy built a coaching staff, one heavily influenced by ownership, that was just not ready for the roles they were given and could not gel because they could see the collapse and were oftentimes worried about their own skin more than what the team needed. On the field, the team was just atrocious. The o-line suffered some early injuries and could not hold together because there was no depth and little coaching. Game planning seemed to make no effort to shore up the line and the rookie QB could not make adjustments, did not have the tools in his tool box yet, to offset this in even the least. Our highly recruited FA RB turned out to be a powder puff, our receivers were slow to the point of making people pine for the days of Kelvin Benjamin. We had one receiver who could actually run a rout and catch and he was double covered on almost every play. Our tight ends were just completely ineffective because of a lack of talent and using the same play concept over and over again. And our defense? Well, statistically, particular in yardage given up, looked great on paper. But it sucked, too. It just didn't suck as bad as our offense, which was historically bad. The highlight of our team last season was our Special Teams play. We had a good kicker and punter.  The saving grace of our team last season was this: The NFL had not gone to an 18-game schedule yet, meaning the faithful didn't have to sit through another week of watching that mess. Good luck to the new coach. I'd like to say there's nowhere to go but up from here, but I said that about this time last year, too. I don't want to be amazed by how wrong I was again.
    • If they can win this one I might actually believe we are gonna pull through this!
    • Let's fugging go!!!! I think just getting the PP on the board gives them confidence!
