Panthers meet with Sam Howell

I keep seeing you shoot down every conceivable option but I have yet to see you offer a solution.  Howell has produced for multiple seasons.  All you ABCers can suck one

I see I triggered you.

I could care less what university the players attended when they get to the NFL. I care about winning games as a Panther. Sam Howell will not be a player who is capable of winning games for us(nor will almost any of these 2022 class QB's).

The options that would have helped us have all opted to go elsewhere the past couple of offseasons.

You want solutions? Sure. Fire Matt Rhule and hire a staff that won't alienate quality fee agents and have a fuging clue how to evaluate QB talent.

There is your solution.

BTW…if we are hoping to draft our QB next draft you are talking about losing nearly every game for CJ Stroud.  He will go #1 barring something crazy.

Bryce Young is extremely lacking size and doesn’t have the arm either.  We don’t want Tyrion Lannister as our franchise QB

Honestly I hope they pick one of these guys in this year's draft and one in next year's draft as well.

In my dream scenario they would get a LT and a project qb for next season.  Then trade with another bottom dweller like ourselves for their 1st in 2023. They would trade a player for that pick and position themselves to go after another promising qb. They would continue to do that until a franchise qb emerged among them.

One can dream...

On the larger point, there is not a rookie in this class that will save rhules job. Not Howell, not Willis and not Pickett.   I just don’t understand the mindset of picking any rookie in the first when there are overwhelming odds this puppy will be taken to the studs again next season.   Get the tackle and make rhule win with Sam.

as for Howell he has talent but he also needs to clean a lot of poo up.    I just don’t envision anyone giving us fair value to move up in this draft.   We picked a shitty year to be shitty

Which is why Rhule should've been fired but he wasn't so here we are. Gotta keep on keeping on.

I mean I am all for rhule getting another season as I see the logic in it howover I sure as fug don’t understand the thought process if he is going to roll a rookie out there behind this poo oline.

if rhule wanted to rebuild the line ad go all in with darnold and then actually win then I get teppers logic.  But just throwing more poo at the wall is insanity.   No qb in this draft is going to start and win games for this franchise in 2022.   Can anyone argue otherwise?

Well look at it this way, no matter who they draft this team needs talent.  If Rhule takes a QB it only adds depth at a much needed position.  If it's a tackle it adds depth at a much needed position.  Neither will ultimately save Rhule's job next season.  It's a win/win for the fans and the next regime.

Drafting a qb the next regime doesn’t want is just wasting a first.

We're highly unlikely to win a lot of games either way but Rhule's best chance of getting a 4th year is probably with a promising rookie and a team that shows improvement through the course of the season.

Nah.  Rhule is done rookie or not.   There is just nothing he can point do to justify keeping his job.   Unless he makes the playoffs with darnold.

See. that's the thing. I know Colbert has played RG, but don't know if he can play LG? I do know Brown has played RG, but don't know if he can play LG?

Which one can play LG?

All I know is, we don't have to take a T at 6.

Brown played LG the most in college.  He's a massive beast of a man.

If that was true he'd already be fired. Tepper hasn't accepted that this dude is a clown. He's still a believer.
