This year has nothing to do with the last 2. We have real coaches now.

Real coaches dont give up draft capital to draft a qb they say had a first round grade and make him 4rth string to prove some asinine point.  Look around the league and tell me what other teams are doing that?

Sure they do. How about Green Bay with Love or San Francisco with Lance.  What about Mahomes in KC.  I could go on but this is enough.  Fourth string or second string it often helps a qb to sit. Corral needs to sit and absorb those mental reps otherwise he is lost as you can see. He came from a simple college offense to a complex NFL offense Baker said took a lot to master and this is his fourth system.

It isn't hard to figure out. It means that his interest is on winning games now so the starters get all the reps. Corrals reps aren't important right now. It isn't bad coaching.  It is teaching a new offense to a bunch of guys allocating reps based on priority. When your job is on the line you don't worry about next year you focus on the present. Once Baker got here the importance of Corral playing right away went way down which was a good thing. I expect if Baker has a good year he will be resigned to a big contract. There will be plenty of time to develop Corral.

That sounds good in theory but when you add in that Darnold has taken the majority of the snaps with the first team it blows that out of the water. Nothing makes this coaching staff look like they have a clue what they are doing and if I'm betting the farm I'm betting they will be unemployed come December.

I haven't read that. I thought Baker and Darnold were evenly split.

Baker is our 1. Matt should be our 2, and Sam/PJ should be competing for 3. We know what Sam and PJ both are. Sam is in the NFL right now because of his draft position. PJ is in the NFL because of nepotism. Rhule is a college coach that's been exposed. 1000%

Corral has done nothing to earn that position at all. I would hate to see him start if Baker got hurt. It could be much worse than Darnold and that is saying something.

So even while acknowledging that more reps leads to better play, Rhule still defends not giving Corral enough reps and blames Corral for not looking like a superstar with three to four reps per practice.

Yeah, this guy is a clown 😖

Corral isnt going to play this season unless something crazy happens.  Hes also not going to be the backup unless they trade Darnold somehow soooo...

I must have missed something but Love, Lance and mahomes were 4rth string?

Second string,  fourth string. Whatever. Delhomme was third string in 2003 going into camp and we all know what happened.  No Corral is where he should be. At the bottom until he proves otherwise.

Exactly and that is a relief. Look at how everyone except Jones did as rookies last year. Corral playing this year would guarantee a top 3 pick and drafting another qb. If he sits we probably stick with him. So he is more likely to be here if he sits and doesn't play than if he does and disappoints.

If he sits and we only win 7 games then its a moot point

    • The lack of discipline has seriously been our downfall the last month. Seems like we just went off course this last month and Lee won't address it. You can't just live and die by the 3 when you can attack the paint and at worst draw a foul
    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
