like i said elsewhere. I heard the same from Will Palaszczuk not long ago. I'm not saying it's true I'm saying it was interesting to hear.

I think the fact that they kept pairing him with Baker was the giveaway.

That's another element that is so fuging absurd about all these fake competitions. It's pretty obvious what the score is, so I have no idea what the benefit is of this charade.

From what I heard from the joint practice is that Boseman might not be any better than Elflein.

I know it won't happen but shouldn't Rhule and Co. start working with Mays at center.  Maybe start him with 2nd team reps and see if he can handle the position.

Rhule has this thing about underclassmen, I mean rookies, starting especially if they are a low round pick.

We drafted Mays partially because of his versatility to play anywhere on the line.

If these two vets aren't the answer than maybe we should give the rookie a shot.

Thought?

I'm not there yet as far as him being another Paradis. It takes time for a starting line to gel, especially when it's 4 guys are new to the team. Name the starters, let them play together and tell the other guys they have to take the position from them. This really isn't rocket science when it comes to an oline.

Are you suggesting most teams do start late-round rookies? 🤨

If BC beats him out, we have still made a huge improvement over trotting Erving out as LT1, because it means that BC has become a starting caliber LT.

Also, I doubt this is the case. Icky just needs to improve his pass protection a little. We can't write him off after 1 preseason game.

Good point.  What many seem to be missing is that with BC’s credible performance thus far at LT, we now have legitimate options at that position.  Not popular here at teh Huddle but, our best starting lineup this season may be BC at LT and Icky at LG.

For all the haters, flame away.  I am immune to your disdain.

    • I don't think so. I think once you're measuring electronically, the spot is where the sensor says it is. So if it says half yard short of the line to gain, that's the spot. Now how that works with scrums and the ball moving on two minute drills and poo is anybody's guess.
