wasn't the word already put out that he is going to get surgery ?  I would think the coaching staff would be looking out for his long term best interests at this point and that requires surgery for that injury.

This is about looking beyond this season. You have to do it. Even if Corral is only taking 2nd string snaps during pre-season, he needed reps. Sam could have been backup during the season with Corral taking reps as 3rd qb when available. 

We are on our 5th qb in 3 years. Unless we re-sign one of the 3 amigos, it will be 6. This coaching staff with the QB position is a fugging joke. 

You do realize you're talking about a staff who is playing this on a 1 year basis right!!

From the start you should have known that they didn't see Corral as a starting option this year if they could help it..

So while some of you had Russell Wilson,  and Dak Prescott in your heads..

They were thinking Redshirt year and only break glass in a emergency...

Wouldn't be the first time a team has IR'ed a player to save a roster spot and to keep a developmental player from being poached.  Am I saying the injury is completely bogus?  No, but I am saying that if not for this injury there would have been another one which really could have been questionable in another week or two.  In short, Corral was going to IR at some point anyway, IMO.

      What do you want to see come out of the 2024 season the most?

      I want the conversations at season's end to be more about what else we need to build onto the foundation to be playoff contenders and less about the fultility of drafting yet another QB and hiring yet another coach because as long as Tepper is the owner, it doesn't matter what this team does.
