Around the NFL

Starting with...

Already shared this with Lady Cowboy Fan. Her response was pretty much what I expected 😕

They do have a guy ready to step up, but Smith isn't a guy whose shoes are easy to fill.

Some here have suggested Tretter might be a good option to sign at center. That option is now off the table.

Tretter has expressed a belief that his work as NFLPA president might have hurt his chances of getting signed.

Joint practices...yeah 😕

And finally, this from Cleveland...

I didn't even know Rosen was with the Browns.

Wonder how he fits in with their policy of preferring "adults" at the quarterback spot 🤔

Keep an eye on Josh Rosen? Why? He's just going to get cut and his career is probably over. He's f*cking terrible. Maybe he tries to make a go of it in the CFL, or maybe he just starts a bullshit company and spends all his time on Linkedin which is more on-brand for someone like him.

There were two guys whose pre-draft interviews made me certain they'd be NFL busts and they were Josh Rosen and Paxton Lynch. There's confidence and then there's just outright cockiness and those dudes were fuging COCKY. I don't have work hard because I'm just too damn good to possibly fail type cocky.

But he's an adult 😐

    • …is Brycen Tremayne with 108 yards. Not sure what that tells us but I imagine it’s some sort of gumbo consisting of the following: - Bryce can’t push the ball downfield  - contrary to what many were saying this offseason, the wr still needs a lot of work.  - we need Coker back badly.  - Brycen is pretty good! Congrats to that young man! Curious to hear other’s read on it. Was a pretty surprised to see he had more yards than anyone other than Tet and thought that was symptomatic of our issues on offense.
    • I don’t think many fans would have guessed the Chiefs and Ravens would be where they are right now. Same goes for some surprise packages like the Colts, I’m not sure many would have put money on them being top of their division after five weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if this continues!   Not necessarily. The Chargers have lost both starting OL and their 1st and 2nd choice RBs. They fell apart against Washington. The Broncos have just beat the Eagles, so they’d be my favourite in that division, but they are still only one win ahead of the Chiefs. All the Chiefs need is a couple of results to go their way and they’ll be right in the fight for the AFC East. I think that division is going to be very close and probably not a 12 or 13 win division like predicted. Unless of course the Broncos kick on.
