Also surprised we couldn't find trade partners for some of our WR's. Nice to get Saunders on the PS, but he's gotta clear waivers. Would rather get something for him instead.

Most teams know our depth.  They know we can't or won't keep all these receivers on the roster.  Why give up draft picks when in a couple hours they can claim them off waivers.

The only value of a trade is that you get that player exclusively, I don't think there are many teams that are that desperate and will take their chances on the waiver wire.

Yeah and jumping people in the waiver wire for the kind of guys we are talking about is goofy. There are ample amounts of WR's of the caliber we are talking.

I don't understand how Teck never even got reps at guard, probably would look decent there

Especially since versatility has been kind of a motto for us.  Would have definitely put the pressure on Jordan.

I got this feeling that Rhule has some sort of fetish over Jordan.   He talked him up last season and now seem to hold onto him longer.

Hopefully, we are holding him until we can sign someone off waivers.

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
