I mean, I don't think it matters.  It's not like players don't talk poo on the field every single Sunday, of every week, of every season.

Thank you!  Every play you see players yelling at each other.  It's just part of the game.  These guys are so sensitive that it's going to set them off to hear Baker wants to crush them when he plays them.  They already know this...

This x1000. Baker wasn't going out of his way to give the Browns bulletin board material.

Cynthia knew what she was doing when she decided to share an essentially off the record conversation with a "friend".

If there's any defense of her, I guess it's that she didn't directly initiate the conversation in the podcast. Dan Hanzus asked her to share it.

But share it she did, and Hanzus must have already known about it when he asked so clearly she'd told him before.

She clearly regrets that now.

To be fair, this is the Browns we're talking about.

Ownership wanted Watson so bad they suspended all rational and intelligent thought.

Nah dude, I have to respectfully disagree with you on that one.  If Baker had all this promise and leadership as being painted on here there's no way anyone would've made that trade.

They paid half his salary to gtfo. The Panthers were only willing to go a quarter of it he had to eat the rest to come here.

Look around the league right now and tell my why we were the only team interested.  You can't use cap as an excuse either.

Fair to point out that most of the league had chosen their quarterback already, either via returning veterans or in the draft.

Only two teams were heavily speculated to need this trade, us and the Seahawks. Seattle chose to choose between Geno Smith and Drew Lock. For whatever you think of Baker, that's an insane decision.

Will it work out? Don't know. I do at least like what I've seen so far though.

He should have known better to say anything like that around a reporter.  Now he better back it up or he's going to look mighty foolish. All bark and no bite.

All I can say is he better back it up.

All I can say is that he better light it up or he's going to look really dumb now.

Like is said, if he doesn't back it up the locker room will not buy into his bravado because it is all bark and no bite. Talking sh!t loses its meaning if it is not backed up by action.

No issue if he backs up his talk. Especially since he says "he's" going to be the one to fug them up. Kinda puts himself out there to deliver a monumental performance all by himself don't you think?

I'm not against a player having fire in him. If he can ball he can talk shyte all he wants.

Baker is just a shyte talker who so far has not lived up to his trash talk. That is just an annoying bullshit artist who shoots his mouth off and can't back it up.

So...........................I'm guessing you think there is a chance that he can't back it up?  I'm not positive though, just wanted you to clarify.

Thanks

I feel like Seattle has chosen to tank for Stroud.

Doesn't make sense to me given Carroll's age.

Is the plan to be competitive again sometime before he hits 100? 😕

Yeah... They did keep Lockett and Metcalf plus Cross looks to be a good LT.  If a young QB can catch on quickly they can get competitive pretty quick in a year or two.  All that cap money saved on a rookie QB can build a nice team as well.

Seattle is obviously looking to start over at QB in 2023. A move that I wanted us to make, but I’m starting to get on board with Baker

So you're a Baker hater who can't think reasonably because you don't like him.  He's a playoff winning QB who was ascending and in the top 10 in QBR when he got hurt.  You just aren't educated on this and you're saying ignorant things.  NO ONE was going to help the Browns out.  No one.

Here's her full backpedal

First of all she said it, not him, it wasn't about the Browns but in general, and he just agreed.  She says she shouldn't have reported it, because its been twisted.

She got the attention she wanted from it. All reporters do it. There is no “off the record“ with them

    • Apparently some in the mediasphere are blowing up LaMelo's accident in his Hummer. Scott Fowler who never wanted us to draft him did Scott Fowler things in an interview and unfortunately LaMelo took the bait. Much bigger concern are these awful games from both him and Brandon Miller. And while I am certainly a believer that Miller has plenty of time to get it figured out the reality is we've been saying the same thing about LaMelo's at times very hot and cold game for what seems like forever now as he is going on into his sixth year. Regardless of the short lived win streak which feels more like a mirage than anything honestly. The Hornets should still leave every available option on the table after the season.
    • They will be getting the opportunity.... 5-0 usa after 2
    • Well it's not exactly new information that you don't have to draft a QB in the top 5 to compete for a championship. But the poorly run organizations end up with the first three picks. Most of the QB's drafted there never stand a chance. And then you have teams like the Panthers led by the Tepper's that would rather make a big splash to serve their own egos and get talked about in the media for several weeks by trading all the way up than actually being intelligent and strategic and staying put. Worst outcome in that is if you miss you can try again without mortaging your future. But there is another layer in all this. The league is changing again. Even a guy like Darnold with all his physical tools every box checked in that area did very little in the Super Bowl. Seattle had a stout roster all around. Same thing with the Eagles when they blew out the Chiefs. Yet here we are stuck with the tiniest QB in the league.
