Tom Brady turned Tampa in to a winner. It's not like Ariens was some great coach. Players make the difference. It's not out of the question.

Tampa had a long streak of mediocrity and poor performance that left their roster brimming with talent. All they needed was someone like Brady to elevate them to an elite level.

We definitely aren't there yet. We might not be far away with 2-3 good offseasons in a row.

This is literally like the 4rth thread saying the same thing over and over

It’s that time just like every year where people post this stuff where as the long timers just roll their eyes.

Usually it’s by posters who post sept/oct with their ‘optimism’ never to be seen again when the Panthers start losing only to repeat next season, same time, all while calling others ‘negative’ and ‘fake fans’.

However Jmac actually contributes during off-season/regardless so…

How did we go from 30 “Fire Rhule” threads to “we’re gonna win the division”.

Not to ruin the hope people have but… bad head coaches and winning normally don’t go together. So…

Baker's performance against the Bills I believe inspired a lot of people on here. As it rightfully should have.

Baker’s performance in a preseason game against a teams 2’s and 3’s was good. But i need a week 1 performance to fully bring me in. I always hope for the best. I’ll have to see it to believe it, I can’t keep falling for these sales pitches and camp confidentials.

Same here man... but I can definitely see why there has been a turn of minds.

Arians has his issues but he has had a lot of success out of Tampa too. If not for us being dominant for 17 games in 2015 he probably brings AZ to the Super Bowl. Also was great for the Colts when filling in for the HC who had cancer. I don't like the guy but there's no denying he knows the game very well. He's also never had below 7 wins in a season in 9 years as a HC. Rhule has 5 wins in 2 straight seasons. I'm not giving up on Rhule like others quite yet, but I do think you need at least an adequate HC to have success in this league. There's just so much that goes into it, ability to adjust midgame is so important, etc. Maybe you can get around that with a HoF talent at QB but otherwise I don't think so

    • Why not? Dude was tough as nails. Came off the field after a vicious hit and showed the coach how his ring finger was knocked out of socket halfway up. You could see the shock on Fox's face. Brad just  pulled  on the finger, grimaced, got it back in alignment and went back in for the next play and blew up an opposing linebacker or two. Dude is legendary.
    • Motown let on like he'd like to play at least another 5 years in his presser. I fell he was truthful and us fans over did his knee. The guy started like 108 starts in a row and only missed like 2 games over each of the past years.  I think as long as the team agrees with his value that Motown has, he will sign another contract extension to push the void years into the 2030s.  OLmen can play at high levels up til 40. Trent williams is doing it, Richie Incognito leftd and came back to play until he hit 38. Lane Johnson is still playing at a top level while 38. You member Greg Van Roten, he's somehow still playing at 36 and he started here after being a substitute teacher years before. If you are able to get over the 32 year bump, its possible to reach 38 with luck. Colleges do a poor job of preparing new OLmen, many times that vet is better.   Rams were begging Andrew Whitworth to come back while he was 39, if you got the genes, luck and still willing to put in the hard work....it is possible to play until 38 as a OLmen*starting level*
    • Shaq was a fantastic LB, he just happened to have been standing in the shadow of a Panthers great and a Hall of Famer. He was team-lead starter quality for all 32 teams of the NFL. Don't throw shade on him, he was never just a guy.
