Brown and Burns

Really enjoyed watching them today and how much they free up the other players on defense. On Luvu’s forced fumble, Brown backed the guard in to the RB so he had nowhere to go. Awesome job by Luvu, but that would not have happened without Brown. Multiple pressures happened as Burns forced the QB to move. They had a lot of other great plays as well, most that didn’t show up in the stat sheet. Great stuff all around.

I’ve been really impressed with the D-line overall the last 2 weeks. Cleveland gashed us all game but we seemed to have adjusted.

Brown and Burns are balling, but Ionnidis has also flashed, Haynes is playing really well and Mccall is a dog. Yetur needs to play better but overall, the d-line is starting to gel.

A dominant DT is one of my favorite players to watch. They play where the most physical resistance is, so watching one blow up the interior line is magical when you see a great one.

Kris Jenkins at his peak was one of the most dominant players I’ve ever seen, and Brown has shown some of that the past two weeks.

Keep it up big guy.

(Shout out to my man McCall. So fun to watch too)

He finally has someone next to him worth a crap.  Look at how many times last year he was doubled.  Glad to see him playing well maybe the bust talk from some here will finally go away, but I doubt it.

I don’t think that is the reason why he’s played well. Defensive line is one of those positions that can take a few years for a player to develop. maybe Brown is finally getting it. Still I would like to wait until I see more games before making a decision.

Brown has always been better than folks here give him credit. He is a beast and just needed to refine his technique and get his NFL body through a pro regime of strength building. Now that he has some good talent around him teams can't gameplan against him and have to.play him straight up which helps him win more battles

Maybe…. He hasn’t been good though. I have to wonder how much of that is because of the coaching staff. If you don’t use players correctly then they won’t succeed. It’s why we see so many players not do well and all of a sudden they play for a different team or have a different coach with a different system and they end up being good.

It takes time to become a really good nose tackle and Brown is still learning. Expectations were so high because he was a top 10 pick that I'd was inevitable he was going to get a bust label if he struggled at all.

Thing is, is NT the position he should be playing? He seems to be a lot better at getting to the Qb than stopping the run.

also if the info we got is true and the coaching staff told Brown to lose weight because he was going to be a pass rusher then when the season started they wanted him to be a nose tackle then our coaching staff really screwed him over.

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
