And even if this team had achieved a 3-0 record, which we actually saw last year before they finished 5-12, it would still be completely outweighed by the two years prior. It takes time to confidently discern changes in trends and Rhule has 2 years of empirical suckitude to fight against; 3 games scraping by against the bottom of the NFL barrel does little to move the objective or subjective needle in the face of that. I will again say that reviewing the data constitutes neither 'doom and gloom' nor that negativity is an emotional response... that's an absurd premise. For the millionth time, drawing a conclusion from the body of data out there does not constitute an active decision to be negative. The reality is that Rhule and his teams have sucked and this year's iteration appears to have the same weaknesses as those teams; this is based on what's actually being put on the field, not on any 'emotional response.'

Estimation (either positive or negative) of future performance is speculation and the 36 games he's already coached point in a pretty clear direction. The benefit of the doubt is gone, so unless/until he (or any other coach/player in a similar situation) gets a substantial body of work rivaling the performance showing a different trend, there's nothing to suggest the future will be any different and expectations can be set accordingly. It really is that simple.

Nice opinion. But that is all it is.  Your opinion based on your analysis of what happened. No better or worse than anyone else's opinion. And you are entitled to it just like everyone else.

They have a better shot a beating us this year but as you know you can't predict these things.  Early season games are hard to predict. Until every team hits their so called strid (whether good or bad) it's still early.

But with the way our offense is playing it's hard for me to imagine them playing much better than what we saw yesterday.  The defense is going to have to carry this team that's all there is to it.

I think it is just the opposite. I can't imagine we play worse. Yesterday was more the floor than the ceiling.

Yea I have a feeling it could turn this game back towards the cardinals. It would be on brand with the 2013 season too since they lost to the Cardinals in week 4 after starting 1-2

As it stands, we are ahead of the Las Vegas Raiders!

Superbowl Incoming!

Us: Browns, Giants and Saints; 2 home games

Them: Chargers, Cards and Titans; 1 home game.

The Raiders will finish ahead of us even playing in the AFC West, the NFL's hardest division.

They've already played worse. The only thing missing is the ints.  I don't doubt they could look better with improved qb play. But bad qb play mixed with horrible OC play calling? I just can't see it.

I didn't expect a new OC with a new qb would be lights out right out of the gate. I hoped it would be much better than it has been but I don't think this is our best. Baker played better than this for Kitchens for heaven sakes.

Well its not looking good so far. The way they are playing you cannot contribute to 1st year unfamiliarity as both Baker and McAdoo are veterans of the league.  There's no excuse for them looking like amateurs out there.

I can only hope that the offense can be much more complicated and productive if Baker understood it better and was on the same page consistently with the receivers.  The scheme isn't good if this is all there is.

You would think a guy that's been in the league as long as McAdoo that he could come up with something that resembles an nfl offense.  I suppose it is becoming painfully obvious why he had such a hard time finding work.

Even if he only stole things from Dallas and other stops he should be able to put together better than this.

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
