I love my wife. I really do...

So much in fact that I got her a personalized authentic Cowboys jersey.

Told her I'd considered waiting to give it to her as a Christmas or birthday gift but I wanted her to have it now before her season was over.

She responded "Oh, my season isn't over until the Super Bowl. Your season is over" 😳

Interesting to see the influx of Practice tweets/updates the week Rhule is gone...

Coincidence? I think not.

My wife's jokes aside I've had to kind of remind myself over the last couple of days that football season is still going on.

Head coaches getting fired make you think of the offseason, and even a lot of our discussion has centered around what would typically be offseason topics.

And then I'm reminded "Oh yeah, we're playing this Sunday."

I'm probably not alone in that.

Man, what an interesting response from Robby…. I thought he might be a little more responsive, but he looked completely disinterested.  Almost as if he realized Matt was great in college and helping him get paid, but wasn’t up to being an NFL coach.

it’s a business.  Indeed.

So there were reports that Tepper Sports told the players to ignore the media, dont tweet, and stick to the script when they fired Angel Ramirez this season. I can't say with confidence that this report was accurate. However, seeing how players have spoken about Rhule and his firing... I'd almost think they were told the same thing. Hence RA's behavior in the interview.

Now the inverse to this.... they didnt believe Rhule would take them all the way, and now they are relieved.

It's always hard to judge by players. They're way more prone to take the blame themselves than they are to throw anyone under the bus.

That said, Robbie looked like he'd been shot with a tranquilizer dart.

    • No one's saying LaMelo has no blame we're responding to you acting like he's the reason they lost. The scapegoating and blaming the teams woes on his personality is where it's like Cam Newton all over again. It was a failure on multiple fronts and primarily Lee's. Dude said ON AIR pregame that they had to protect the paint and if that was his gameplan going in he couldn't have botched it more. As the commentators said Ball's a rhythm guy and Orlando was preventing him for getting any kind of flow going. I'm a normie watching on TV and said they needed to bait them into fouling to combat that. They didn't even try until the 2nd half when it was too late. I think it's fair to expect the star to overcome whatever but LaMelo was not the problem in that game and he's not what is holding the team back. He's the only reason they're flirting with being a great team. I kinda put the center play on Lee too. Moose is great until he's up against a big who can body him. We've always known that and that's what Kalkbrenner is for. I don't know if it would have changed much but Kalkbrenner should have had more minutes than him.  And moving forward with the center position, I just think it's the time to trade Diabate while his stock's high and that's not an indictment of his game. He's like an evolved combination of Biyombo and PJ. He's a great rim protector and the strength issue is just what you're going to have to deal with if you want that. But Kalkbrenner is perfectly capable of protecting the rim and we gotta get away from the undersized centers or it'll always be a problem for us.
    • Honestly its why that Jalen Coker grab was a big deal.  I'd been warming up to the idea of a sadiq pick and was adamantly against a receiver...but this altered my train of thought.  I mean For instance, Cade Otton signed for 3 yr 30 mil contract...thats not dramatically different than the rookie payscale for #19 (4 year 20 mil with 5th year option), however you KNOW otton is decent...no clue if Sadiq will be anything.
