CJ Stroud

I don’t understand the thought process on skipping a QB this year. Every player is a risk but Young and Stroud have actual elite skillsets.  Anderson got abused last week by a team who may not have a draft pick on their oline. Every player is going to have risk, how can you watch this team and want to continue playing without a QB of the future.

We are pretty well set up for a rookie with a good Oline and DJ Moore and a number of picks to give him more weapons.  This is the year to do it.

This is so stupid lmao. People act like Alabama’s O-Line and the SEC D’s they play have 6’1 linemen

I don't care about college. All I care about is the NFL and most OL/DL are 6'3 or bigger. Young is going to have to overcome a whole lot to become successful at his height. While Stroud can be actually learning the NFL game and not worrying about batted balls.

The context that CAR thought Cam couldn't stay healthy again then he started 15 games?

It’s time to get over it. Cam played horribly those 15 games and is no longer in the league.

He wouldn’t have succeeded under Rhule either.

Stroud ain't it

...Everyone clamoring for him... he can handoff and throw the ball under perfect conditions...he has no intangibles no fight and no guts...hes average at best and he would be a total waste of a first round pick.... and I'm a staunch osu fan... he could never carry a team and I doubt his durability because he shies away from contact at all costs... U'll never see him take off with the ball...

Stroud is #3 on the list for me behind Young and Levis. I just can't decide whether I'd rather us go with the guy who has everything BUT size or the guy with the traits and upside but who isn't as good a pure passer right out the gate.

Right now I'd probably lean toward Levis, but it'll also depend on who we hire as head coach. If it's someone with a history of actually developing good QBs Levis makes more sense. If it's someone who doesn't then I'd rather take the QB who already has a good chunk of the mental stuff down.

Stroud just... bothers me. I watch him play and despise obviously being a good player I just feel like I'm watching a good college QB who doesn't look like an NFL player.

I watch Levis and I see him make NFL throws against SEC competition. Even if there's room for improvement reading defenses, I see a guy dealing with heavy pressure and still making throws that NFL QBs are required to make.

I watch Bryce Young and I see a guy who has full command of the offense. A guy with a plenty good enough arm who plays big despite his size and is mentally WELL ahead of not just the other QBs in this class but probably every QB prospect going back at least a couple years. A guy who can not just read the defense but also manipulate it in ways few QBs can coming out of college. While Alabama is obviously very talented the OL and WRs aren't nearly what they've been traditionally this year and Young has performed despite it, and against SEC competition.

I watch Stroud and it's like I'm watching a guy going through the motions against clearly inferior competition. That's not to say he CAN'T do more, but it makes him a much tougher projection to the pros than either Young or Levis. There's nothing wrong with the guy, but you do wonder how he'll react to adversity once he gets to the NFL and doesn't have a team around him that is light years more talented than his opponents.

Will Levis has all the tools but he tends to throw it where his receivers are instead of where they are going to be and has absolutely awful pocket presence, he just seems like an older project.  He's fine I dont think hes on the same plane as Stroud and Young personally and i'm a tad shocked people are so high on him.
