If the Bears score 5 points the rest of the game they will have scored more than we have in any game this year.

And Fields is responsible for over 200 yards in the first half.

If and when and one game a lot of guys look good in a game or two a season it doesn't change they don't even average 16ppg.

We get it bro. You like fields.  My brother n law loves the bears so we watch a lot of games. Fields has been trash last year and just as bad this year. Bears fans aren’t sold on him and already want a new qb. But it’s ok.  Like who you like man.

Peyton Manning would have been garbage in a zone read heavy O.  Cam Newton would have been garbage in Tom Brady’s late Patriot scheme.

Fields hasn’t been good.  But the Bears have done him little favors overall since drafting him.  I mean he is running tonight but overall the O has never been catered to his strengths

where you get drafted has a lot to do with your ability to have success

Fun fact his 2 starting tackles were 5th round picks (and it shows).

Not sure what the Nagy administration was thinking, but it feels like the Eberflus staff is gonna make him fit their system rather than shaping the system for him.  And if that doesn't work they'll probably look for a new QB.  Just my speculation.

When you keep spending huge resources on QBs and they all suck, it might not be all the QBs' fault.

    • I agree with OP notion, QBs always get credited for game winning drives even if they do minimal. Just last night Caleb got credited for a GE drive when they basically ran the ball the whole drive and only had to go 36 yards.   And there are drives where Bryce could of had a game winning drive if not for a Legette drop vs Philly or a Chubba fumble vs Tampa
    • You are actually, genuinely comparing Bryce to Jimmy fuging Pickles? Jimmy accounted for 3 touchdowns in his 10 starts in 2010. In Bryce’s 10 games post benching last year, he accounted for 20 touchdowns. Jimmy threw three touchdowns in 2010. Three. Bryce has thrown 10 touchdowns through 6 games. He is currently on track to throw for 3300 yards, 28 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Wtf are we even talking about anymore. I mean seriously
    • Tepper? The guy that directs the coaches towards goals that he set for them… that guy. He is the one.    I don’t think he ever was going to be expelled from class, they had him come in for garbage time maybe the 2nd week he was benched.  I will say this. People said he wasn’t under pressure the last part of the year when he did better, but he was fighting for his career and that’s pressure. And he saved his career too. I don’t reject him for those kinds of things I reject him for the physical things. I have always brought it down to he has slim margin for error and has to be perfect. People with the tool set have a little fatter margin for error. Why make it harder on yourself? Got nothing to do with hating him.  I am no statistician but game that margin thing out a lot and see how that works.
