Time to stop being delusional

This season was over before it began with retaining you know who.

I saw a lot of overly optimistic people here talking about playoffs, etc., after beating the bucs.

News flash - Bucs are straight poo too

Which leads us back to the most pressing need - we gotta get the top 1 or 2 draft slots and get that franchise QB. Without it we are forever stuck in the .500 seasons.

It was great watching this game and seeing us be competitive and look like a competent NFL team.  What a difference when you get rid of the living, breathing, human piece of poo.

So that leads us back to the main issues coming into this offseason.

HC - Wilks is not the answer. Seems like a great guy, and is light years ahead of poo face as far as coaching goes. That being said, we gotta get on board with the new direction of this league and that is with an offensive minded HC. Let’s do this rebuild right and let retreads live where they should.

Burns - TRADE HIM. If we can get 2 1’s for him we are insane to not do that. He is not worth what we will have to pay him and never takes over games. I hate to bring up his name, but before he did what he did, Greg Hardy was light years better than Burns!

Shaq - TRADE HIM.

I would like to see what we are capable of with a bunch of high picks, new coach, new QB. Stop trying to put bandaids on this and hit the reset for real.

I'm still up for trading Burns.  Look, TWO first rounders for a pass rush specialist...not even an ELITE pass rush specialist, is more than a fair trade.

I was going to start another thread on this but, in a nutshell, we are honestly only a few players away from being a really good team.  If we come away this draft with 5 or even 6 picks in the first 100, then this team not only can compete, but make some noise next season.

Completely agree! And, getting rid of Rhule has shown that we have a solid core. Just need that new HC and QB and we are ready to roll.

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
    • Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
