QB play is the one big obvious hole, followed by a second pass rusher to compliment Burns. Damien Wilson is a non entity at MLB, but that's one of the least important positions on the field these days on D. Upgrading that shouldn't be too hard.

I’ve been talking about Luvu since week 1 last year. All he does is make plays. 
 

unfortunately the panthers aren’t going to be in a position where they can pay a guy who isn’t good enough to build around but has a great nose for the ball. 
 

Luvu is going to walk to a contender and the panthers will hopefully get a comp pick for him. And good for him. He’ll spend the rest of his career signing two year contracts.

Why can't they pay him starter money but not break the bank? Unless you have a starter on a rookie deal, you have to pay going rate for the position unless you're underpaying for obvious talent deficiencies. Not everyone needs to be a "build around" piece nor do you need to pay them that way.

Whatever the going rate for a middle of the road non pass rushing linebacker is what we should offer. If Luvi won't take that, then let him walk.

Luvu isn't an FA until 2024 😄

5 wins four seasons in a row it’s looking like. Seems the ‘pieces’ are always there. We don’t need potential or talent, we need wins and competency.

      I would take the giants roster over Panthers. Lawrence, 3 OLB/DEs, Thomas, and nabers. Lawrence is better than dbrown and Thomas is better than icky. Panthers don't have one edge that would start over those 3 not matter how people feel about burns. Id believe....I think I would take nabers over the whole WR group....Id need to think about, but I feel it is right or 50/50..... Now after the top 10, Panthers may have claim. Im just not that big of a NFL fan like past time to make a good case. I'd just take giants on their top talent.    I will say this, if BY carries this team to the playoffs, he alone would flip this.

      Looks like he ran out of real estate.  He had 5 total TDs. As good as we have ever seen in Carolina? Looks like he is the only QB in our history with 3 passing and 2 rushing TDs and he tied a single game record of 5 TDs in one game with Cam and Beurlein.  Throw in his 73.4% completions and zero turnovers, literally the ONLY thing you could argue against statistically is total yardage which was only 275.  You may not agree with that statement (not 100% sure I do), but it's really not THAT wild...
