How Rhule, Fitt and co allowed themselves to take Corral over Howell is beyond me. Always thought this kid would be a good one in time.

How he wasn't the first QB taken is beyond me. Just look at the guy. He belongs. The arm translates. The athleticism translates. The only knock on him is that he lacks ideal height.

How'd the NFL missed the eval on this kid so badly is baffling to me.

I wouldn’t go that far but I saw enough during his time at UNC to know he’d be a good one. At worst, he would’ve been a better backup and potential future starter. And a major draw as a local kid. Of course, he may have looked as bad as Corral with Rhule at the helm but I digress.

The height thing was definitely overblown. I guess the scouts never heard of Fran Tarkenton, Doug Flutie or Drew Brees. It’s not a stretch that Howell could have similar success.
