That’s what happens to a defense that is small on the edges. Any team that can body up the Panthers in the run game is going to maul them. Pie in the sky scenario, this team makes the playoffs. You know who they will play? The Dallas Cowboys. One of the best rushing teams in football. I wouldn’t be surprised if they put up 300 rushing yards on this defense.

Add to the fact that modern NFL teams have really become lighter to defend the pass and it's why it has worked so well. The LBs these days are basically SS 10 years ago so those boys just eat them up. Got to give McAdoo credit. Hes playing 1998 football against teams trying to play 2022 ball. 

And this works sooo much better later in the year when those defenses are battered and bruised from just regular wear and tear. This is the kind of football made for December and January.

Rhule was and is still an idiot. He was a terrible coach and Wilks/McAdoo are just making NFL type decisions. Rhule definitely pulled one over on a new owner. He also has done the same thing to Nebraska so he's pretty skilled at that.

I hated him being the starting LT, but a swing tackle that's also been a big part of Icky's growth? I can dig a cheap deal.
