Really?? This guy feels that way..

And reality check @kungfoodude 95% of football forum conversation are speculation, worrying and making ant hills into the Grand Canyons .. lmao

To persocute does not mean one feels persocuted. I was actually speaking about your behavior, not how the individual's you have tagged felt.... Can we stop now?

I think we have more waiting to do, unfortunately. I can't say I am upset that they are taking their time with this process considering what a disaster the last coach hiring process was.

It is tough as a fan to be in this limbo where you really can't plan or effectively speculate on the offseason until this gets resolved.

Agreed.

To quote The SOS Band, "take your time, do it right".

This entire saga seems very contrived. I don't think these teams are as interested as the Payton rumor mill machine makes them out to be. I also suspect he is basically asking for the keys to the franchise ala Jim Harbaugh.

Exactly.  The media is a leverage tool right now--if people take this for Gospel, they are going to wind up in Hell.  Like watching certain news channels and believing every word.

You are getting to this mountain via several levels of pure speculation.

Just.....chill. Try and remain calm.

Let the coaching search play out before we try and speculate about free agency and then the 2023 draft and then the offseason and then the preseason and then the regular season and then the postseason and then the 2024 offseason and then we can finally get to 2024 draft speculation.

that unknown commodity... is one game away from being a OC on a super bowl contender, while coaching two different young Pro Bowl QBs... he will be known heavily.

I’m not saying he isn’t a great coaching prospect. I’m saying here we go again with a coach with no HC experience, and we will be in purgatory for the next two seasons. Hopefully, we can compete in 2025.

I think it's time to come to terms that Steichen is the target.

I am hoping this is the case.

Exhausted with even thinking about it & trying to block out a random debate about Drake Maye in a coaching thread.   Pretty much a wait and see right now.

I would like to see people leave this thread for news or comments specifically based on informed speculation.  In other words, if you want to attack and get into arguments with other Huddlers, go away.

Having said that, I think the longer we drag things out, the more I like the chances that the next head coach is still in the playoffs.

I saw a lot of recent comments and figured it was news, nah, it's a debate about the 2024 QB class lol.

    • I'm happy with TMac, but Tyler Warren was last season's Tyler Linderbaum for me in that he was at a position that wasn't one of the five pillars but he was the best player at his position AND one of the top talents in the draft. I cannot fuging wait for the Panthers to start winning again so that those guys fall to us like they seem to for teams like Baltimore & Philadelphia.
    • Still working on consuming all of these so I don't have summaries available, but I figured there might be another Huddler or three trying to kill time before tonight's final preseason game.   Panthers Blueprint: Training Camp The in-house produced Blueprint series has given behind-the-scenes look on the field and off. Start the day with Robert Hunt's family, be in the morning meetings, mic'd up players during practice (Jaycee, Rozeboom, Icky, and Bryce), roster evaluations by the staff, and plenty of camp highlights capping off with FanFest.   Processing Blue (Mike Kaye & Alex Zietlow Mike and Alex are back talking about a variety of topics including but not limited to: joint practice + preseason game vs. Houston, Trey Hendrickson trade rumors involving Carolina, training camp awards, draft pick draft, and various thoughts about the team.   Jordan & Jake 706: Opening Day Another in-house Panthers' production, the most recent episode of Jordan and Jake talk about how to properly balance intensity in practice, react to the starters being shutdown for the preseason finale, share their thoughts on the newest Panther QB, and more.   Raw Room - Ep 278 - Gas Pedal (ft. Mike Davis) Assistant special teams' coach Darren Bates' Raw Room podcast has former Panthers' RB Mike Davis on his weekly podcast. I'm about halfway through this one and it's been a lot of fun. The Raw Room guys (DB, his friend Alex Sweets, former Eagles/Chargers OT King Dunlap, and former Atlanta DB Jalen Collins) are hilarious and Mike fits right in. They talk about his football experience coming up, decommitting from Florida and how he decided on South Carolina, and more. Warning: If you're the type of person that is easily distracted by accents, despite XL being on the team, you might have issues with understanding the Memphis dialect. If you don't care about how somebody talks, just what they're talking about, tune in!
    • Allen was borderline unplayable in College.  He's an absolute unicorn in terms of his career panning out the way it has.
