You know the science behind the concept for this video game/show is fantastic stuff.  This about a Fungus that takes over its host.  The blood of the host has to be at a certain temperature for the fungus to survive and thrive.  At a cellular level the fungus somehow will control the host but keep it alive, even avoiding brain function as long as possible as to spread the fungus spores to infect other organisms.  This is happening in nature now.

This is really a zombie type scenario that one day is scientifically possible in humans.  Scary and awesome.

Another global warming queue to catastrophe or another really great sci premise.  Who knows

Here is another very weird thought.  What if this infection has already happened to humans and scientists know we can’t stop it.  The fungus would want to reproduce first by having the host to grow hair as much as possible and give itself more opportunities to spread.  Like growing more beards…longer hair etc.  Human brain takeover would be very slow but inevitable

No question that humans have eaten ants infected with these spores.

LOL…having fun tonight…

I never played the video game.  No nothing of the game plot line.  Only heard the one was a great game and two is divisive.

That being said - this is soooo good.  Meaningful death in the first 30 minutes, real fascism taking control, the people show real signs of living through the poo for the past 20 years.

Its giving me high hopes that it can keep the quality up through its run.

I have to mention to gamers that you should try this game.  I don’t think it is best ever category but it is very good.  The story is pretty amazing and everything else is intense including the combat.  It is definitely worth a play through

I played it a long time ago and loved it.  I was super excited for the show, as I am over most nerdy things!

It blew me away.  So good!  Familiar with the game but being a true adaptation as opposed to a retelling.  The atmosphere was so good.

even my wife who lives by HGTV and stupid fiancé crap was enthralled.  Can’t wait to see more!

At this point I will wait for season 1 to finish and then play through both games.

I have to do an about face a little on the game.  I have it so I popped it in to replay and man…I have to say it is slow and honestly pretty boring.  I think FromSoftware games have ruined games like this for me.  By all means everyone should come to there own conclusions but games like this or the Uncharted series are basically unplayable for me anymore.

Good stuff. The only thing I haven't cared for is the Ellie's potty mouth. I expect the adults that have been through so poo to cuss, not kids so much. But it's HBO, so 🤷‍♂️

I agree with you but then I watched my girlfriend complete the first game and Ellie in the game cusses like every other word. So it does fall in line with the games version of her.

    • Bain is a beast. I won't deny it. I mentioned it in another thread, but one of Mesidor's sacks was only because Bain shoved Mesidor's body at the quarterback like he was bowling with him. I have never seen anything like it. I hate that the Bucs drafted him. That being said, Bain has to be perfect in order to compete week to week. He plays a high contact position in a game where the most athletic and lengthy have the advantage. I think he will still be a force, but his impact can be minimalized with right blockers and schemes. Freeling has the opposite problem. He's a long limbed, athletic puppy. He has ALL of the advantages physically. He just needs to add strength to his body and improve his technique. In two seasons, Freeling could end up being regarded as one of the best LTs, if not THE best in the game. That's where his potential is. Both have the potential to boom, but Bain has the higher probability to bust. Just looking at it logically.
    • Again, KB did nothing wrong. The play was reversed after it was obvious that KB touched him when he was down. The video shows a ref 5 feet away who should have stopped the play. KB knew he already hit him while the CB was down. I watched that play and I saw he was down and knew we’d win the challenge. Just like when the ref told Cam he doesn’t get those calls yet, it did make me wonder if the ref swallowed the whistle since interception returns are a play where QBs can take a big hit. That was right around the “player safety” increase. Cam got hurt because the ref didn’t call the play dead even when it was ridiculously obvious the CB was touched down and the quick review and reversal showed that.
